It went very well. They acted as the general contractor and they sub contracted the work to another firm-the other firm does the work. My wife is very happy with them. The workers were very good and very prompt. I would recommend The Home Depot because they were recommended to me by our daughter.

Went to Home Depot because the salesman there said I could buy in-stock laminate flooring and have installation done within a week or two. I waited over two months after purchasing and paying in advance for the service. After measuring for the bid, I was told I would receive the bid within 24 hours. After 3 days I finally called them. They said they were waiting on the bid from the contractor to do my stairway. Two days later I received the bid and agreed to it (almost $6,000). I was told I would hear from the installer within 24 hours. After 2 days I finally called them. They informed me that my installation would be at least a month out..... this after all the flooring was piled up in my house, the carpets removed and I am living on concrete. Three days before installation, I called the installer to make sure I was on schedule for Monday. They said I would receive an email on Friday. I never did. Monday morning the contractor shows up and tells me that they can't install the stairwell and lots of extras needed to be done. In other words, over $1,200 in and quot;extrasand quot;. The contractor said he never saw a photo of the stairs until that morning. I went to Home Depot and met with three managers. No resolution so I cancelled the whole deal.

Absolutely horrible service, lots of lies and finger pointing. There are two outside entities who sub to Home Depot and both of these entities are terrible. I had heard they would try to gouge you for more money and indeed they did.

Buy your flooring at Home Depot if you wish. Some of their products are fine. BEWARE of their installers.

I finally found my own flooring contractor (from Angies List), who came the next week and did a professional installation at about half the cost of Home Depot. And no and quot;extrasand quot; were needed.

I used 3 different contractors to get a quote for the kitchen remodeling. The Home Depot was one of them. I had to look somewhere else for the flooring and the countertops. I went to The Home Depot for the same project. My understanding initially was that they did everything. And after I reviewed the kitchen cabinet design with them, then it was like 'well, we can get the flooring contractor out there and he charges this much for an estimate'. I went to them to get everything done but I found out that they use a lot of subcontractors and it is not their own bid. I went to The Home Depot in September or October. It was a big project. I went to them initially and explained the whole thing to them that I was looking for a one shop place. He said okay and they came out and measured the kitchen. They did the cabinet design. When I went back to and said let's talk about the flooring and this is when he said I will get a flooring contractor out there. I just thought that this isn't going to work. The whole thing to me was to be one contractor was responsible for everything. The cabinet design was workable. The price was comparable. The cabinet price was in line with the cabinets we ultimately had installed. They did come out and measure and they did the design. I am not looking at any further major remodeling project so I don't know if I would use them again in the future.

This store is mostly in stock and the associates are very helpful, but their shelves are quite messy and they could use some help in keeping the inventory organized.

Last year we had new windows and outside fencing installed by the, and quot;otherand quot; home improvement store. It was one big headache!! They aplogized by offering us a 10% discount on our next purchase. Really? So for this year's home project we decided to go with Home Depot. We had laminate flooring and carpeting installed. Both installs were done quickly and most importantly they were done correctly the first time! The contractors were courteous and they cleaned up after themselves. During the installs they kept us informed about the install and pointing out things that we should know. We will use Hoem Depot again for home improvemnts.

We needed a very quick turn around on installing new carpeting in one of our rental properties during the Christmas holidays. Home Depot steered us to an affordable carpet that they had in stock, so ready to go, managed a subcontractor who came out and installed in a timely manner and got the job done on budget and one time.

Home Depot followed up with me several times to check up on their subcontractor and be sure that we were happy with the job.

I have also had the Home Depot sell and install ceramic tile floors in my house and it turned out great, very affordable, no surprise charges above the estimate.

It looks great. I got several quotes and they were the least expensive.

So far they have done a good job. The only hiccup was in the delivery because it took longer than anyone anticipated, but the installer showed up when they were supposed to.

After a lot of thought and a few estimates by other companies and individuals as well as thinking of doing the work myself, I decided I needed to go with Home Depot because they have always come through for me in product and services in the past.
I went to the flooring section and described what I wanted and the flooring sales person, Shannon was very helpful and patient as I made my final choices. This took three or four visits and she never tried to steer me towards any other product and was well informed on the choices I finally settled on. She explained how the process would occur and how long material delivery and matters would take.
The work took about two weeks to schedule and of course Home Depot subs out the actual work.
Measure Comp came out and did all the measurement estimates, they were very thorough and made sure I was with them every step of the way and agreed with each item of information.
Home Solutions performed both the tile and carpet install.
The tile install also included the removal and replacement of the baseboards. They do not recondition or paint or repair the baseboards so be prepared for that work yourself.
The tile install took 5 complete days, from 9 AM- 5 PM, some days 6 PM. The installers (2) were always on time and prepared and very professional. They picked up the tile and other materials from Home Depot.
I have pets and they were always careful to know where they were and did not leave the doors open any longer than needed. That contributed greatly to my peace of mind.
The end result was nothing short of amazing. The attention to detail and pride in their work was obvious in every way.
The carpet install was around two weeks later and again, the install crew (3) were on time, prepared and professional. I could not believe it but they completed the entire job in one day. This included removing the old carpet from four rooms.
The completed job looked fantastic and they also removed any sign they had been at my house except a vast improvement in the look of the area and my state of mine. They even offered to help me take some furniture back upstairs but I already had that taken care of.
I also had three toilets replaced while the tile work was going on. Home Depot used NM Delta Mechanical for the removal and install and the guys who did that were as professional and prepared as everyone else.
Overall I am extremely pleased with the work that was done as well as the quality of the product.
Everyone involved seemed to make my satisfaction a priority and kept me informed every step of the way.
If I didn't have that chunk of money out of my pocket I would have thought I was on one of those home improvement TV shows.
It was well worth it and I would recommend Home Depot to everyone and would use them again if I am ever crazy enough to do all that at one time again.

Tonight (4 Aug 2008, while shopping at #3507, I came upon Brian (I was looking for the store manager, Vanessa (It is my understanding she is on vacation – Brian refused to tell me that he only suggested I contact her to voice my complaint. I suspect he was hedging his bet that she is out of town and my dissatisfaction might subside in time. $700+ dollars is hard to forget for me. At 8:55 PM - location: flooring area - review of camera video and you will show how Brian closed distance between himself and me - in a threatening manner only to be pushed away from me by an accompanying employee who actually placed her hand on his chest and backed him away as he became agitated when I asked him why he was twitching (he seems to have a body tick disorder). I informed Brian that I am a retired police officer and his actions were considered threatening as he violated my personal space. He repeatedly asked, "Are you making fun of me?" as he approached and violated my space. I contacted Asst Mgr Shaun of store #3502 and told him of the incident. He told me he would contact Vanessa, Brian's immediate supervisor. The man has no tact, no ability to admit he was wrong, made no effort to correct the matter even by simply offering an apology for my inconvenience; he seemed more concerned with projecting an image of a tough guy to the female who eventually got him to back away from me. I cannot see how someone like this man is in a position of authority and at the helm of a major store location considering his poor customer service skills. I would venture to guess his behavior with me in more than likely how he deals with all customers who come in wearing work clothes and attempting to return items without his required proof of purchase. Ironically, a major selling point for me was that HD could track all of my purchases if I used my HD Mastercard. What a potentially disastrous nightmare this turned out to be because I had three tile jobs pending and no saw to do them with. Brian's offer was to let me have a rental see free of charge for a day. Despite my pointing out my other pending business commitments, he simply was willing to lose my business forever either because I had no proof of purchase which was to his satisfaction, or I my 90 time period had lapsed (which it hadn't - I have written proof and the return of the saw to prove it – better yet, you can do what Brian refused to do; look it up and see for yourself) or, more disturbing, that I had simply stolen the saw and now wished to return it. The man made me feel like a thief. He certainly would not last as an employee of mine with his poor attitude which is fraught with smugness, arrogance and belligerence - real deal breakers when it comes to securing repeat business from a loyal customer base. His actions do not engender warm fuzzy feelings but rather, frustration, humiliation and disgust.
