Outstanding work! I have used them on a couple properties that I own. They have the best prices also. One of the best HVAC companies I have used. They have replaced a refrigerated air unit once before and also a furnace unit. I have also used them for a water heater replacement.

Do not use Tarango Heating and Cooling! I hired Leonel Tarango to install a gas line on the side of my house from my gas meter to my backyard. He drew up a vague “contract” over text message. The contract stated that if he was to do ALL the work, including labor, trenching, and materials, he would charge me $2500. If I was to do the trenching, he would charge me $1050 – we settled on this option. He ended up charging me $2000 total, which I begrudgingly paid because the trench I dug was not perfect and he had to do a small amount of digging by hand. When asked, he did not give me a materials list nor did he provide their cost, intentionally leaving room to dramatically inflate the final price. However, what really threw salt in my wound was that he never even finished the job. My A/C condenser unit had to be disconnected and moved because it was in the way of the trench and he has refused to move it back. When asked to finish the job, he tried to screw me out of another $350. I reminded him over a heated phone call that part of the original deal was to reconnect my A/C but he is still refusing to get it done. Leonel Tarango is a snake in the grass who uses unclear language, unprofessional text-message contracts, and the “foot in the door” technique to screw unsuspecting customers LESSONS LEARNED: LESSON 1- Always make sure the contract is EXTREMELY detailed to prevent any wiggle room for shady contractors to weasel their way out of seemingly obvious tasks that common sense says should be considered included in the contract. (If you move the A/C condenser, you should obviously hook it back up.) Lesson 2- Always ask for an itemized list of materials, their cost (if not purchased yourself), labor cost, permit cost etc. LESSON 3- Always buy ALL materials yourself before the job is started. Leonel refused to provide a list of materials and intentionally obscured their actual cost when repeatedly asked. That’s how he cons his customers. He gets his foot in the door with a reasonable price, then makes up whatever number he feels like for the materials.

After calls were made to a few other "leading" plumbing companies, Tarango was the only one that responded rapidly and professionally. Very competent, friendly and respectful.

My 2012 Kenmore Elite water heater stopped working yesterday (Sunday). I called today (Monday) at 7:30 AM (with most other plumbers closed until 8:00AM). By 8:00 AM Leonel Tarango was at my house and assessing the problem. With parts for the Sears brand difficult to find locally, I opted for a new basic State water heater. By 12:30 PM today, I was inside my house enjoying a hot shower. I could not have hoped for any better service.

I was able to book a same day appointment. They did a great job!

The shut off valves at the washing machine were starting to leak in my 5 year old home. Mr Tarango was the only plumber who was willing to talk to me over the phone to discuss my options. The rest of the companies would only talk to me AFTER I made an appointment for in home visit. Mr Tarango arrived 30 minutes early for our appointment and was able to give me the old fashioned multi-turn valves. Great work at a reasonable price.

Leonel was professional and work performed was very good, we are happy with the outcome and are now enjoying refrigerated air conditioning, he also helped me register products and explained how to use new thermostat.

Great, Leonel was very easy to work with. He provided a good estimate and worked with me to reduce the cost. When several of the components were in good shape, he offered to reuse them and reduce the cost accordingly. He arrived on time with a helper and did the work ina day. Quality job, no complaints and I like working with him. I will definitely use him again if the need arises and will recommend him to friends.

Using Tarango heating and cooling was hands down my most pleasant experience with a local HVAC service company. Here in New Mexico it is difficult to find a reliable and trustworthy heating and cooling company. Most companies in the area charge tremendous amounts of money for sub-par work. Leonel was extremely responsive, completed the job in a couple days and my family couldn't be happier with our new refrigerator air system. He had no issues with traveling to Socorro, completely hassle free! I appreciate the great service Tarango Heating and Cooling provided!
