Phone Service - Cellular
After purchasing the phone under the false promise of 4G service, I discovered that the phone did not receive 4G in my area at all. After confronting T-Mobile with the issue, they tried to offer what they call a "service quest" in order to check the towers for 4G service in my area, only to discover that 4G is limited in my area. Unsatisfied, I attempted to return the phone, which they refused to take, claiming that I was past a 14-day grace period, a grace period they neglected to inform me about. In order to close the account they told me I would have to pay a balance of $440. Frustrated and fed up with their business practice, I agreed to pay the remaining balance to T-Mobile, only to have them refuse the payment. Now I have demanded they unlock the phone, so I can attempt to recoup at least some of the money wasted on this horrid service; which they have yet, to unlock the phone. I am beyond disappointed and would not recommend this provider to anyone. Stay away!

Phone Service - Cellular
the reception was adequate most of the time, but the customer service was extremely poor......actually it was absolutely terrible. Here is why........
BEWARE OF T-Mobile: After fulfilling our 2 year contract, I called in a few months later and was told of a better plan that I should take, so I changed plans (what a huge mistake).......We DID NOT get new phones nor did we ever use more than 70% or so of our available anytime minutes. A couple of months passed and Christmas 2011 was upon us and I decided I really wanted the new Apple iPhone 4S, which of course, T-Mobile is the only major carrier not authorized to sell. I purchased the iPhones, signed up with AT&T, then contacted T-Mobile to cancel our service. I was told we'd have to pay a cancellation fee of $600 + tax, about $687!!! I explained that I had only switched plans a few months prior, had NOT asked for or received the usual free phone upgrades we were entitled to after fulfilling our 2 yr contract, and that we should be allowed to leave T-Mobile with no penalty fee. If we had received new phones when we were put in the new contract and T-Mobile had invested $400 or more to give us free new phones, then I would have had no problem with paying the termination fee. BUT, since we did not receive new phones and only changed our plans and never used all the minutes we were entitled too either, I feel we were being severely punished and treated in a highly unfair manner.
If you ever have to call T-Mobile for a customer service issue like this, you will be extremely frustrated, disappointed and angry because they treat you like crap, waste your time and run you around in circles. I even wrote the suggested letter to corporate customer relations and received a form letter reply that proved they didn't read my letter to them. T-Mobile could care less if you never, ever are a customer again, they just want their blood money. It was a painful and expensive lesson that T-Mobile inflicted on me and my wife.......but we learned our lesson and will NEVER, EVER DO BUSINESS WITH t-mobile again!!!!!!!!!

Phone Service - Cellular
Their plan was well priced and we like the phones that they offer. We are frustrated with their coverage at hand. Sometimes with dropped calls, but mainly with their service at some of the places we go. I would say that they are very good in Europe. We just felt like we had better coverage there. Their pricing is reasonable. They have been very good and very patient with us with our new smart phones. They helped us a great deal.

Phone Service - Cellular
I use my phone primarily for emergency purposes and I have been very happy with them. I keep hearing issue of other companies charging in a monthly basis. However in T-mobile, you can buy a certain number of minutes for a contract in a year and if you don't use those minutes, it will roll over for the next year. Overall, they provide an excellent service.

Better Business Bureau investigation is pending. It will be interesting to see if I receive a response from T-Mobile and, if so, how this resolution will be conducted.

Landline Phone Service
I have had a number of problems. I have been referred to multiple departments with my questions. Every time they fix something, something else goes wrong. Sometimes I will be on a call and it will get dropped and I won't be able to get a dial tone for five minutes or so after that. They obviously haven't worked out all of the kinks in this service. They are always very apologetic and willing to help. In fact, they have even reimbursed me for my monthly payments for the service, but ultimately they have still been unable to take care of the issues.
