SmartVolt specializes audio / video; tv installations, systems that include home theaters and media rooms, whole-home audio, lighting control, security, and networking. We were founded in 2009 on two basic principles - 'making the client happy’ and technology made simple. This approach remains at the core of the SmartVolt experience. As a small, locally-owned business, we deliver a personalized service that is unmatched by our competitors. In fact, we are available almost any time of day, evening, or on weekends, to answer our customers’ questions and provide troubleshooting. On larger installations we provide “point to point” wiring end-point schematics that detail how every part of your system is wired. This ensures easy upgrades and serviceability that will save money through the years. Each system we install is designed with a focus on aesthetics, ease of control, and enhanced living. We have designed and installed custom home theaters and media rooms for many clients, converting unfinished areas into beautiful spaces. SmartVolt AV, Seth, didn’t finish the job! He abandoned us! He talked a good talk, at first he is very communicative, and appears very knowledgeable. But, he totally left us hanging with cameras that didn’t record. He didn’t do what we contracted him to do. We paid over $67,000 but he did not give us all the parts. He just stopped coming and did not return any texts, phone calls or letters. It’s been over two months since he stopped work. Most importantly, our personal safety and the security of our home is in jeopardy by the work he did and did not do. We’re now paying others to bring the system to working order. We are shocked!

I purchased a home stereo from Smartvolt in Feb 2022. Installation went fine except the center channel speaker ($1,299) was not available at the time. Like a fool, I paid for the full installation with promise that Seth would deliver and install the speaker as soon as it arrived. I has now been well over a year and I am still waiting for the speaker. Seth was responsive to inquiries for the first few months, but now refuses to acknowledge phone calls or emails. I am going to start legal proceedings to recover my money and would not recommend that you use this service. They seem to have disappeared from the face of the earth.

I paid for a complete installation of two flat screen TV sets. I supplied the hanging brackets and the power relocator kits to run power and cable behind the walls for both sets. The first flat screen was finished successfully, but the 2nd flat screen remains to be finished. There was trouble using the power relocator I supplied. Seth stated that he needed to use a different power relocator and he'd order it. We rescheduled the appointment to complete the installation of the 2nd flat screen but he cancelled twice, the 2nd time stating he had a family emergency. I made numerous phone calls and emailed him more than once with no response. What annoyed me is that I was totally ignored while paying for a complete installation which is not complete. To date he still has not responded or completed the job, even after I emailed their customer service department. While the 2nd flat screen is mounted the power relocator kit that I paid for is in a drawer and I have a hole in the wall leaving me to believe at this point that I have been blown off. I would no use or recommend Smart Volt to anyone, unless you like to be ignored.

It couldn't have gone better. We highly recommend Seth and SmartVolt. Our media room sounds amazing and the huge projection screen picture is like in theaters. Due to Seth's recommendation I can even adjust the lighting when watching tv or movies. I liked this so much I had him add the ability in the kitchen and family room later. The speakers we installed everywhere else sound great as well. We're so glad he consulted us in the right direction in how this part was done. I can use remotes, my iPhone, and iPads to control everything (even the lights... I love it! Thank you!). It's really cool how he made all my different music work from one app on my phone instead of several ones, and that the same app can control everything else he installed. He even added remotes (that work just like the app) in the main room and master bedroom. We're thrilled! Everything works the same and it's easy - exactly what I wanted. He was thorough, professional, clean, extremely knowledgeable, and worth every penny spent. When he asked us to help him with a review on Angie's List I had to get on here and tell everyone what an amazing experience it was to work with him, and how great a job he did. Thank you so much, Seth! He'll always be our 'go to'.

Our tv was installed perfectly and they programmed a remote that made our system easier to use. Better that I could have hoped for. Seth exceeded my expectations and I'll have him come back to do more work as we add more technology. We won't trust anyone else with our systems. Thanks for your hard work.

The first meeting meeting answered most questions I had and I received a quote within 2 days. I was able to ask questions and get the answers quickly and was also lead to websites to inform myself to verify what I was asking to be done. The work was done in a timely manner and my home was left without any knowledge of the work being done. ( no debris, no dust) I was left with 24 service numbers, yet I have not needed them at all!
