SCENIC VIEW LANDSCAPING CO

Called and scheduled for Friday. Called later on Friday and Scheduled for Monday morning. Did not show. Called Monday night to apologize (lost my info) and reschedule. Showed up on Tuesday and inspected the job and bid $575. I should have just said no, but I was preoccupied and let him go ahead because I thought that when he saw how easy it was, he'd adjust. His helper did most of the work in a few hours and though he said he charged ONLY $100/hr. for two workers, he charged the $575 saying you can never tell what you'll find so the job "might" have been more complicated than it was. I am usually not such a mark and I know what was required because I've done this type of job before. Maybe I felt bad because I'm getting older and I'm tired of fixing everything just because I have the skills. I want to concentrate on the "glamorous" home repairs! At any rate, in the end I feel bad for this guy because someone who get's a little one over on a customer who gave him a shot at future business will fail himself and his family in the end. The work was done correctly, but the job was a simple one.
