The laser was set so high that it burned holes in my skin.  The bruising was extensive and lasted for three weeks.   Not only did the treatment not work, it actually made the 'spider veins' worse and the provider even admitted that they were worse.  There is also a very obvious darkening of the skin on both of my cheeks and the skin has a 'sunken' look to it.  There is now a large dark area on the bridge of my nose and every place that she used the laser, there are scars where the laser burned through my skin.
The provider was VERY dismissive stating "Well...I have seen worse".  The only 'remedy' was to tell me that she could prescribe a 'cream' that would "cause a lot of drying and peeling of your skin but it 'should' help those dark spots.   Check back in a couple of months if you want to and I will order the cream".
I told her that not only was I disappointed that the treatment did not work but that I was very upset that I had the complications and that I was now left "in worse condition than when I came in here."   She made no response and left the room.

when I called for laser treatment appointment I was told there was a free consultation, then at checkout I had to pay $165 applied toward a future treatment. After I had V-Beam laser for redness around my nostrils (which was completely ineffective, the redness has not changed), they tried to charge me $165 again. Then a week later I received another bill for $165. The most unprofessional medical office I have EVER dealt with, it seems like they are running a scam to rip off patients.

Thorough inspection, I have a lot of sun damage which she treated.  I have had other providers whom I felt were padding the bill by finding problems on a maybe basis.  I have confidence in her treatment.

Bought a Groupon for 1 large and 1 small area of hair removal. Purchased this on March 6, 2013. Was not able to be seen at the clinic location closest to me until May 2 for an initial consultation. This is the only reason why I gave the company a C for Availability. They were probably swamped with folks buying the Groupon!! But other than that little detail, the clinic is clean, the front staff are courteous, and the technician makes me feel very comfortable and at ease. I've only had one treatment, but I am so pleased and amazed with the results so far. I tried using a and quot;Bella Lightand quot; from Costco years ago, and it was not effective for me in the least. So, I've been pleasantly surprised and happy with the treatment at Rio Grande Derm thus far!

Procedure was quick and painless. I did feel somewhat rushed but most other Dr. appts. I've had at other places have been the same. So I chalked it up to the medical practices in our current environment. If I have any further need of a dermatologist I would revisit this provider.

Over the period of several weeks, that included office treatments along with prescribed medication to take at home, she made certain that the treatment was effective by calling me back in for check ups until the condition had once again retreated.  Dr. Ortiz also took the time to explain, why it reoccurred and the condition's peculiarities so that I could understand what was going on. During this treatment Dr. Ortiz and her Medical Assistant staff treated me with great respect and understanding.  I appreciate Dr. Ortiz patience and ability to communicate in a manner that can be understood.

I had a completely fabulous experience with Dr. David Lortscher and his attending nurse. They were both very professional and knowledgeable, yet kind. He listened to and respected my concerns and input, and gave me the impression he would take as much time with me as I needed. He did a full body exam (in the past, unbelievably to me, even with a biopsied basil cell, my prior dermatologist didn't even suggest looking around much).
Dr. Lortscher didn't pressure or infuence me into a longer, multiple biopsy, multiple visit, more expensive course of action and he very well could have. He respected my lack of insurance (I'm between health insurances, working as an outside contracting consultant, and have to pay direct). To help me out in this way, he suggested we could go ahead with removal right during that first visit if I wanted (and I did). He did a quick and completely painless removal and I was out of the office very soon.
The Rio Grande front desk worked with me and my finances, even offering me a discount I didn't ask for outright. All in all, I'm very, very happy to have found them and Dr. Lortscher and will definitely be back for regular checkups.

Her old place was recommended by Presbyterian.  We are members of Presbyterian Senior Care.  When she broke off we went with her.  When she moved, we moved.  I would give her straight A's. She is very good.

She was very  personable with my wife and very thorough. She has done a very good job of seeing her every 3 months for skin cancer.

.They are really good and the staff is very professional and just nice. They all wear uniforms and look very nice.

We like them. They follow up very well. They have taken care of my son very well. They are prompt and timely. They call remind you of appointments. The doctor is good.
