Very professional and reliable. Work was done as described and everything was explained throughout the process. Will definitely hire Mike again. The finished product was beautiful.

tWhen I first decided to put in a sliding door to an existing patio on the side of my house I searched Angies List and contacted the top three listed companies. Only to find out that most of the companies were not able to or have experience in cutting holes in walls and all extras (headers, stucco repair, etc) that were required. A neighbor who works at a door supply company gave me a list of four contractors that his company works for. He stated that he would call the first one on the list "Mike Richards of Rich built, then he would call the second, and then re call Mike, then he would call the third and then re call Mike. He further stated that Mike is the best in the business and I would not have any problems.
I called Mike and arranged a time for him to come out and give a bid. Not only did Mike give a bid, he gave my wife and I several suggestions on our bid ....all..without any pressure. Mike also gave us suggestions on what to ask other contractors and he encouraged us to get other bids and in all the process he never gave a harsh word on anyone else (this impressed me as we have had several other contractors talk harshly about their competition).

Mikes bid was the best and most thorough, and throughout the process it was apparent that with the extras he provided that he was the absolute best choice for the job. He showed me the process and the areas that could not be seen after the door was installed (the flashing, and caulking, etc) and explained what it would do. He was able to make his cuts so the stucco work looks like it was originally installed on the house. The stucco work even matches in color (which I understand that it rarely does that because of sun fade etc..but in our case I cannot tell that it was not done when the house was built). Mike told me on several occasions that the door instillation would look as if it was originally on the house, AND IT DOES! Several of our neighbors have come over to get his card and and contact information, realtors who where showing a house next door came over to get his information also for work that they wanted to complete on their own homes. We could not be more pleased with the outcome.

Now he is taping and texturing my three car garage and it also is going to look as if it was originally done when the house was built. In all this process, he has called every morning to say he would be there, most mornings he has called to ask if he could start early, he always calls when he is done, he even would tell me when he was going to lunch. I informed him it was not required but he stated it was how he liked to do his business and his professionalism and customer service is an A++ in my book.
Honestly I only wish I could give him a higher grade on Angies list than an A. While I love using Angies List for my work I will "ONLY" be using Mikeael Richards of Rich Built for all my contracting work on the house in the future. I could not recommend anyone any higher than Mike. To say my wife and I are overjoyed at the outcome of the work is an understatement. To not only have a beautiful finished project but to have the privilege and honor of meeting a new friend and professional is the iceing on the cake.
