It's hard to find good contractors, but Chris is the absolute best. He refinished the antique hardwood floors in my new home. Everything was done on time and exceeded my expectations!

Chris and his crew did a fantastic job restoring a little over 1k square feet of 50 year old wood floors in a house we bought. The price was very fair and the quality of work was excellent. The floors look great and we get lots of compliments on them. Chris was incredibly responsive and always answered me same-day, either immediately or within hours. When I accidentally scheduled the refinish after our move-in date, I contacted Chris and he moved the project up, on short notice, so we could move in as planned. It was nice of him to do that. I'd recommend Rebel for refinishing wood floors.

I've done high-end design and construction projects all over the world for more than forty years. Rebel Wood Floors, headed up by Chris St. John, is at the top of my list now of the best crews I've worked with. The quality of their work is second to none, they started on the day they said and finished on the day they said, all at a reasonable price. You can't beat that!

Chris and crew did an excellent job... in 2 days- I had like new floors! However, I have tried to call him to ask some follow up questions at least 5x, over the past month, and he has refused to text, email, or return my voice mail whatsoever. VERY STRANGE...it is like he disappeared...This tells me if you ever have issues after the fact, he will be no where to be found : ( Sadly, I am not important to Chris, he just does as many jobs as he can fit in, then forgets about you...I was just a job to him! I know there are others just as good - who would treat the customer better...I am sad to say I cannot recommend him.

We could not be happier with our floor refinishing and with Rebel! Chris was so professional especially noteworthy considering the two estimates we had before his. One put us off due to scheduling then said he didn’t want the job. The next took the time to come to our home and never gave us the estimate. Chris came in with a big crew and got the job done quickly and professionally. When you have to move all your furniture the quick part is pretty important. He explained everything and answered all our questions. Top notch and highly recommended.

Chris was very friendly and professional; he took the time to explain the process and why they used oil vs. water based finishes. His price was not the lowest but also not the highest, and the quality of the work was superb. The team was on time, stayed on task and cleaned up after themselves. They refinished the master, guest room and hallway. And my floors are beautiful! Would highly recommend Rebel Floors.

Chris and his crew are great. They are very professional and easy to work with. The floors look fantastic, including the steps that were converted from carpet to wood. I recommend them without reservation.

The team was professional, efficient, and did a great job in a short amount of time.

Patch was just nailed from the top, then filled. A low-cost solution, acceptable to me, but not the cleanest finish. However, sanding to match old floor level left a large valley/gauge. likely around 1/4" deep over a 10" wide patch. I was not expecting that. Stair landing was mostly aesthetically OK, but stair nose was installed an additional 1/4" past the riser to avoid needing to notch the stair nose to fit properly. This allowed them to deck the landing with minimal carving of the nose to fit, but now I have an overhang where the groove on the nose extends 1/4" past the riser. It may not sound like much, but code on stairs has very tight tolerances. The nose is not as stable as it should have been (extra overhang), and I had to move the rest of the stair decks 1/4" to pass inspection.

It is a locally owned business. They owner of the business, Chris, is on site refinishing the floor. I have recommended them to 2 of my neighbors.

After two years in Albuquerque remodeling two houses, Chris St. John and Rebel Floors are by far the best service providers I've experienced in Albuquerque. Extremely high level of professionalism matched by no one else I've worked with locally, yet their pricing is very reasonable. When I bought the house, I expected I would have to replace the floor as it was badly worn. Chris looked at them, and he was confident he and his crew (family) could make them look beautiful. The results far exceeded my expectations. The floors are now my favorite part of the house! Absolutely stunning. They even patched a huge hole in the hallway where the floor furnace used to be and it's completely unnoticeable because they were able to perfectly match my 80-year-old flooring!!

In order to cover about 600 square feet of family room, entryway and hallways, the work was scheduled to take 5 days. It took exactly 5 days to complete the project. Chris and his four team members did a great job. They were careful to cover all of the entryways to other rooms with plastic and cleaned up at the end of each day to make our space livable during the project. Their attention to detail is amazing, having to make specific cuts around a fireplace hearth as well as entryway. When I was showing a friend their work, he said how did they get the hardwood under the stone of the fireplace. In fact they didn't, they were just so precise that the wood butts up to the stone perfectly. At the end of the day, we are very happy with the work and kick ourselves for not doing it ten years ago.

Many months ago I had Rebel Wood Floors repair a section of my kitchen wood floor that some plumbers had to cut out. Rebel did a great job. I wasn't ready for them to refinish all of the kitchen floor. So recently I was ready to have refinish the kitchen floor. They did a fantastic job repairing worn sections of the floor. I can't tell that those worn parts were bad with wear at one time. They also did a super job in matching the kitchen floor with another wood floor in an a joining room. They were at my house two days but the total hours didn't add up to two days. The first day the crew was at my house for maybe 5 or 6 hours. The second day they were there for maybe 20 minutes. They also handle the dust very well. They put plastic sheeting over the cabinets and covered the counter tops, and the used the sheeting to cover the entry ways into the kitchen. When everything was done with the floor I hardly found any dust on counter tops or dishes. On some dishes there was none. The dust did not go out to the rest of my house. Dust was very minimal. How wonderful is that! Rebel is clean and professional plus they arrive on time. The price was good too. I highly recommend Rebel Wood Floors.

They replaced our bathroom floor and refinished adjacent bedroom and closet floors. They were very polite, punctual and they did an excellent job.

Chris showed up at the time of my home inspection and provided me a quote for the project free of charge. We scheduled the date of the service. He was able to meet on a Sat to receive the keys. All work was completed on time and on budget. I was completely blown away by the quality of his work and his customer service.

Everything went smooth, and the crew was great! Luckily we had a place to stay for 3 nights. As I said, looks great, good ventilation would be an item to consider. It's a byproduct of the service. Would recommend.

Chris was extremely easy to work with.  He gave me an estimate for the work, was on site sanding and refinishing the entire 2 days and answered all my questions. He was extremely punctual.  The floors are beautiful.  I have r recommended him to my realtor and mentioned his work to my friends.  I would not hesitate one minute to hire him again.

Chris and his crew were very professional and fast yielding beautiful refinished wood floors.  They showed up on time and were done in the time quoted.  I would definitely hire them or recommend them to anyone looking for this service. 

Chris St. John came and gave us a very competitive bid.  They were not the least expensive nor the most expensive but seemed to be the most personable and informative.  The job lasted two days.  The first day they arrived as scheduled at 8AM and were done sanding and coating 300 square feet of flooring by 11AM.  The next day they lightly sanded the same floor and were done in 1.5 hours.  We were extremely satisfied with the results.  The floor looks almost new.
