We owned a model home in High Desert which needed major remodeling - a room addition, porch, living room fireplace etc. Problem was we were in Chicago for the 3 months prior to our move in! So we needed a company whom we could TRUST to DO THE JOB RIGHT while we were 1800 miles away!!! Joe Quintana and his team did a fabulous job for us, despite the fact that we never met him until the job was finished and we were back in New Mexico. To give an idea of the scope of the job, it included: • Demolition of the back of the house • Adding a 12 x 10' Library with built in bookcases and separate HVAC, recessed lighting etc. • Adding a gas fireplace and mantle to an 18' high wall • Creating a "Margarita Deck" with circular stair way on top of the Library • Demolished, then redesigned and installed a new patio with banco seating and a large kiva fireplace in the back yard. The look of the existing house and Joe's work is seamless. Eight years after completion, we are still thrilled with the job that Quintana Custom Builders did for us. We found the walls are not straight and they are not flat. They installed plumbing in the wrong places and we had to have it taken out and moved. The concrete was not level, there are low spots. They installed walls in the wrong places and they had to be moved. They installed a sliding door and pocket door in the wrong places. It was one problem after another with them. We worked them for about 6 months and there were constant problems. He was a really nice guy and we liked him a lot in the beginning but everything eventually went south. He came recommended to us by someone we know and respect and are shocked at how our project turned out.
