The initial work was done in June of 2003. I chose to use this company and have them apply to Solar Tex because it was suppose to last a lifetime. The work came with a lifetime product warranty and a three-year labor warranty. I had to call Purveyor out several times to do repairs during the three-year labor warranty. The Solar Tex kept bubbling, cracking and peeling. Purveyor never did "fix" the problem during that three-year period. Bill Murray told me it would be up to me to start caulking the cracks and then I could get more of their product to paint over the caulking. In June of 2012 I requested a quote for them to repair the problems again because they had gotten out of control. By this time, not only was the Solar Tex still bubbling, cracking and peeling, but the stucco underneath that they applied was disintegrating into sand. The written quote that I have from Bill Murray is $300 up front plus $100 per hour in labor. And of course, I have no control over how long they would spend "working". I asked Mr. Murray if he would be willing to negotiate on this price and he was not. I have had other contractor's out to quote me on doing the repairs. All of them were very critical of the workmanship from Purveyor and advised me that repairing the problems would be a waste of money and that I really needed to redo the entire house, or at the very least, the entire west and south facing walls, to avoid having the same problem happen again. Because cracks are now showing up on the north facing wall, I'd have to say that the entire house needs to be redone. It really disgusts me that Purveyor has left me in this situation. I expected them to provide a product and apply that product in a manner that would last a lifetime. They failed miserably at doing so and are taking no responsibility for their failure. What's really sad is that the paint they used (purchased from a 3rd party) has outlasted their Solar Tex product 10x over!! Bill Murray should be ashamed of himself, and Angie's list people need to stay away from using this company.
