Home Building
We had to get into a home as soon as our previous home sold and Pulte had a spec home available in the location we wanted. Little did we know that they're the cheapest home builder imaginable. Even Dr. Evil (DR Horton) has higher quality trim and hardware in their homes. We should have known from the get go with the sub-par sales people that our experience was not going to be a good one. They skimp on everything they can to make a buck. After we moved into the house and wanted to paint our walls, we discovered the drywall was not sealed properly and the drywall paper absorbed a good portion of the new coat of paint. We discovered this winter that the furnace/AC system was not designed properly and unable to keep the main floor of the home warm (~68F) without making things unbearable upstairs (over 75F). We also discovered that all of the home's hardware was, junk, really. From towel bars to faucets, it was the bottom of the barrel stuff that easily broke and/or chipped after several months of use. Putle is the Wal-mart of home builders. Buy a home from a local builder. You'll save yourself some headache down the road as well. And, you'll know that you're not buying a home from a greedy corporate builder that treats their sub contractors like dirt and does everything in their power to save a penny in order to maximize profit for their greedy shareholders. I totally understand they're in business to make money but this company reeks of corporate greed at the expense of hard working families.

THEY DID AN ALL AROUND GOOD JOB. THEY LACKED ONLY IN THE AREA OF BEING RESPONSIVE TO OUR NEEDS. THEY LEFT ME IN THE FOG WITH THE PROGRESS OF THE HOUSE. OTHERWISE THEY WERE A GOOD COMPANY.
