Phil's Yard Work

He didn't know what was wrong, he took it over to the nursery and said, this is what I think it is, what do you think? He came back and said, this is what they said it was and this time we're going to treat it. He didn't recommend things I didn't need. He really did pay attention and got after it. I called him on Thursday, and he's a really busy guy, but he was over here on Monday because he knew I was pretty desperate. He just had one helper but I thought that they were prompt, they were very diligent and I liked the way things looked when they left.

Phil and crew showed up precisely on-time and proceeded with the trimming job.  Phil and crew did an excellent job trimming some very difficult trees in tight locations.  Phil and crew completed job quickly and cleaned-up cuttings.

Another contractor had already given us a $500 quote to trim this tree. We purchased $400 worth of tree work for $199 through an Angie's List special. Phil's did a great job trimming this huge tree while not trampling the other plantings in the area. The workmen were professional and quick, and they hauled away the trimmed branches. The only glitch was we had arranged for the afternoon, and they showed up first thing in the morning.

The first time he was hired to clean up leaves in November, he did a fantastic job.  I knew I would hire him again.  In the Spring, I did.  It went well.  Then I called him back for a third job.  He gave me what I considered to be an underbid of $100.00.  I told him that I suspected the job would be bigger than he was estimating.  Since I had had a positive experience with him prior, I felt comfortable trusting that we could decide on a fair price for his work.  He said ok.  At the end of the day, he told me the price was $450.00.  I was stunned.  I had been prepared to pay him something in the neighborhood of $250.00, but $450.00 was certainly more than the job was worth. I'm sorry to say that I actually paid $450.  I did so because I was willing to accept the fact that we both had misjudged the situation and I wanted to hire him to do more work at a mutually reasonable rate.  However, a few days after he had been there, I noticed weeds coming up through the weed barrier that he had supposedly put down.  I uncovered the mulch to discover that only about half of the area had been covered by the weed barrier he was supposed to have put down.  I was very disappointed and I won't use him again.

phil showed up on time  and was very nice. he took care not to damage property any more, than it was. phil even came back the next day to make sure it was all cleaned up.

Punctual came prior to service to consult on job to be completed! gave estimate nor as organizationally adept as he might be. Works efficiently likes dogs.

Phil arrived on time, performed the work we agreed on and cleaned up the work area.  He was very polite, knowledgeable and professional.

Did reconstruction of a fence for my father about 2 months ago. Did a good job in a timely manner. Has then been mowing and triming yard which has been punctual and satisfactory to date.

Everything was excellent.  He arrived on time, was very pleasant, and left the backyard looking immaculate when he had finished.
