Glen has worked on this computer before, upgrading the anti-malware software. This time, this 4 year old Acer was failing to boot up. He spent a long time working on it at his home, cleaning up redundant software, eventually removing Trusteer's Rapport that seemed to be causing the problem. He set it up to backup to a new external hard drive (bought separately), brought it back and made sure it works on our home WiFi network. He kept us updated throughout the process, which took about 2 weeks. His charge was very reasonable considering the work it took him to accomplish. He was not completely sure of the diagnosis but at least the computer is working.
