Patrick Donnelly Roofing & Gutter Installation

We had an entire new roof put on our house. The old roof was leaking in several places, and the skylights were mounted too low to allow proper sloping and drainage. We had a very good experience with Patrick Donnelly and his crew:
- His bid was lower than most of the bids we solicited--the lowest of three bids for a single-ply TPO roof.
- He started when he said he would
- His crew did a good job keeping the job site clean and did a good job cleaning up when they were done.
- He re-framed, re-mounted, and resealed our skylights.
- Sloping the roof required adding 1 to 4 inches of rigid foam insulation. The house is easier to heat now.
- We have had several rains and some snow since he finished, and the new roof has not leaked!
Perhaps we were lucky, perhaps the stars aligned just right for this job, or perhaps Patrick and his crew are very capable professionals--I'm willing to bet that's the real reason. Whatever it was our new roof was done right the first time and at a very good price. I recommend Patrick Donnelly very highly.

Pat is easy to work with and he communicates well about when he and the crew would be working. However, the workmanship was shoddy. Both sections of roof had immediate problems. Pat returned, sometimes alone and sometimes with his crew, at least 5 times to fix the leaks. To his credit, I never felt like Pat was evading my calls and he always said he'd keep at it until the roof was leak-free. Which he did. In hindsight we realize that the low cost was correlated with poor workmanship. If the roof lasts 5-10 years we'll be glad. And we have a bunch of newly damaged sheet-rock inside.

I've used Patrick DOnnelly Roffing in the past and have always been pleased. Patrick arrives on time and really gets the job done quickly. He's a good guy and runs a good business.

Asked for 3 bids. Patrick Donnelly's bid was the most affordable. He is a very personable, gives understandable details about the material used and process of installation. He has the best crew, 3 to 4 men that have been with his company for many, many years. They too are friendly, professional, considerate and keep a very tidy work area.We highly recommend Patrick and his crew.

He gave me a good estimate to start, $1000. His crew, which I don't think were qualified, went up and said they fixed the leak. When we got rain, it was still leaking. So, he came out again and said he fixed it, but it leaked again with the next rain. I called him again and he said they got it this time, but it's still leaking. So, he's attempted to fix the leak 3 times with no luck.

The crew arrived promptly every day of the 10-day job. They were careful in removing all old roofing down to the roof deck and disposing of the debris, including getting nails off the ground with a special, large magnet on wheels. Their workmanship was very good. When I noticed a small leak in the garage roof after it rained, they came out right away and fixed it under warranty. The small leak was difficult to track and took several trips, but they were cheerful and persistent. The roof has been fine since then.

THEY WERE VERY TIDY AND DID EXCELLENT WORK. THEY DID NOT LEAVE A MESS OR ANY KIND OF TOOLS LAYING AROUND. THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT. NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IT DOESN'T LEAK ANYMORE.
