Ended up buying a new motor driver and replacing myself which was far cheaper than the replacement part and installation quoted by Overhead door.

It went very well -- although it did require a second visit because of a wiring issue. The electric opener has switches on both ends of the garage and one was not working after installation. They fixed the problem on the second visit for no charge. They seem very professional and know their stuff.

Great. When I called, the woman on the phone had me do a little trouble-shooting first. But there was nothing apparent causing the issue. The tech was polite and informative. He suggested that he fix it (turns out a gear was stripped) rather than replace. The fix didn't work. He gave me two immediate options for replacement, I selected the one I wanted and he immediately installed. He patiently answered all my questions and explained the operation of the new opener. I would definitely call Overhead Door again. They did not charge for the time the tech had spent trying to fix the old unit.

The tech was great and knew his stuff. He helped us figure out how to code the new keypad entry device to match up with our old garage door openers. He lubricated all the moving parts, tightened the nuts and bolts and made sure all the doors were balanced. We figured that was a good insurance policy, so to speak, since the openers are 18 years old. They work great.
