Our garage door mysteriously stopped closing all the way. We called Overhead Door on a Saturday to set an appointment. They offered same day service but at emergency call prices, so we decided to accept a Monday appointment instead. The technician showed up within a pre-arranged three hour window, quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repair plus an additional repair to a hinge. He also lubricated the torsion springs and various moving parts on the door. It took about 30 minutes. The technician was very professional throughout the visit.

It didn't go with this company. Angie's List online offered me this company and another with several good reviews. I put in a request online for a quote to both. The other company called me back the following morning, we set up a date for Fri for a quote. The quote was good, he was able to do the work right then, so it is all done. I actually didn't think I would hear back from Overhead, figuring that my job was too small and unimportant. So I was very surprised when I received a voice mail from their office today (Monday- the following week) wanting to know if they could help me. Really? Sorry, I had the choice of calling them to tell them the work has been done by someone who is responsive, or I could just close the loop here on Angie's List where I started. So my advice- if they can't call back in a reasonable amount of time, they don't really want your work. I won't recommend them.

Patrick called in advance and arrived on schedule at my daughter's condo. I'm glad I repeated the correct address when he called, because the office staff gave him the wrong address. It only took him 20-25 minutes to complete the repair. Patrick also adjusted the chain and lubricated all the moving parts. I would hire this firm again.

Patrick arrived within the original time envelope and called within 15 minutes of his arrival - as per their information. He cited the exact same price I was quoted over the phone ($226). He replaced both springs and checked over the remainder of the garage door hardware - finding three hinges that were cracked. While he quoted a price to replace these hinges, I decided to accomplish that task myself. Really a super job for the best price - cannot ask for more

The repair was ok, the problem was, on the phone we were quoted $260 for the repair, the job took 40 minutes parts and lube were $36.45, total for repair with tax, $455.77, we should have been told ahead of the repair. GREED!!!

Installation was good, technicians did a good job and work was done fast. Had a small problem getting opener programmed, they promise to return and fix the problem.

A nice young man (James I think) arrived on time, diagnosed the problem as a worn out gear and gave me my options. I elected to replace the gear and he got to work right away. He worked fast and made several other adjustments. I really enjoyed talking to him and everything works great. He was very polite and professional.

The door was fixed quickly and the technician checked over the whole system. The cost was elevated because we asked for emergency service on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend, so we’re not complaining. We always call Overhead for garage door problems and they always perform better than we expect.

After paying more than $300 dollars, the repair man said that if the part failed within 3 months they would return and install a new Garage Door opener for about $900 to $1300 depending on the model I selected. I did not feel much confidence that my current door opener would continue working for much longer.
