Antonio who was in charge of the project was very professional and a pleasure to work with. he is really sincere about doing the job right for the customer. he also installed artificial grass; a putting green ; a viewing deck &; a concrete patio..he did a nice job.on everything.i would recommend oak tree landscaping to anyone. Everything went great. The crew was here every morning about 8:30 and left between 4 and 5. They worked very hard, were professional, friendly and answered any questions we had.

Charged extremely too much for the work done. Quotation sounded fair because I thought it would be a very difficult job that I was not willing to tackle. However two men showed up and in less than a hour left with the shrubs. They took the stump but not all the roots I had expected to be gone. I had also expected the holes to be left ready to plant as discussed when job was quoted. They were not. Holes had many left over roots and excessive effort had to be expended in the planting process.

They were prompt, courteous, and they did a good job. They were within range of everybody else that I had contacted, and he did what I asked and with the plans that I wanted.

The small construction projects of the pergola, barbecue area, and raised beds were planned and executed well.  If this had been all I would have graded them an "A". However most of the plants they brought in died.  Some were warranted and some weren't.  They replaced the warranted ones promptly but they haven't flourished. They were quite good in responding to our complaints at first, but then they must have become busy because it took some while to get them to come back when the underwater sprinkling system froze over the winter.  They did come back but charged us because they said it was our fault that the system froze. We had inadvertently left the water on in the system. Fair enough but they became harder to get an answer from as time went on. We have since found other services to do the little landscaping we need.

I solicited 4 bids to have my backyard landscaped and ultimately chose Oak Tree Landscape because they had the best design at the best price. I am extremely impressed with the result and with the professionalism and responsiveness from Project Manager Antonio Morales. He  incorporated my ideas and desires into a plan that was better than anything I, or the other landscapers for that matter, could have come up with. I had a very sloped back yard, so I wanted it leveled and a retaining wall put in place. I wanted fruit trees behind the wall and a sidewalk and steps leading up to it from the extended patio. I have a playground area and a large area of grass as well as a garden along the side of the house. Along the sides is a lovely variety of foliage, both flowers and trees that Antonio designed and simply looks fantastic as a composite whole. During the approximately two weeks of the installation he patiently listened to every suggestion or concern that I had, and took care of them right away. The end result was a beautiful backyard that gives me great pleasure to be in and to look at and will greatly increase the value of my property. Antonio does fantastic work and he fully guarantees it. He responded the same day when I had a valve get stuck and when one of the trees died he came out and replaced it right away. If you want a professional, experienced landscaper with an artistic sense of beauty, who offers the fairest and most competitive prices in town then I recommend Antonio Morales and Oak Tree Landscape.

The provided the service when I called, and said the material is guaranteed.  They didn’t call about that either.  They came back with 2 Redbud trees and when I said the Pukateo doesn’t look very good, he said it is alive.  I had never grown a Pukateo in my yard before so I didn’t know.  They didn’t come back because I wanted them for another job, they came back to make good on the first job.  They still came back and put in new Redbuds.  They came in the front yard and removed plants and replaced them with 3 Rosemary’s and Pukateo’s and 1or 2 Red Acers.  On the driveway they put in Cottonwood, Redbuds and it isn’t in the invoice.  In the back yard they removed some plants and put in two Vitex.  They did landscaping, and no pavers involved.  I would tell others to find somebody else.  The man who owned the company was very personable, but he didn’t do any work, he just sat down and his guys did all the work.  They dug a hole and put the plants and put stuff away.  It worked right along, but they didn’t work around, and they weren’t unpleasant at all.   The work was okay but I was doubtful with Redbud trees, and with plants it takes a while to find out if they are going to make it.  They did two different types of services both the times they came.

I was satisfied with them.  They put in a lot of plants and all of which died, but then I understand that they were here in the summer of 2009 and the winter of 2010 and I guess it was hard then.  They planted a lot of things which died.  When I called them I had to call three times.  They planted some trees which were dead to begin with like the Redbud’s, but they did come and replace the trees.  They did the work in June 2009.  They did not do tree work, but they planted some trees that all died. They finally came around and replaced them with no charge and those trees survived.  They were pleasant people.  They came when they said they would.  They did what they said they would but they just didn’t do it very well.  They did not make sure there was adequate irrigation.  They planted a Pukateo, but it was half dead when they planted it and never came back to life.  They planted Cottonwood which cut back, so it is not a big tree now, but a shrub and it is alive.  I ran into the manager and he was very pleasant and gave his card and I didn’t know anybody else so I called them.  There was nothing to complain about, they came and worked and they were pleasant.  They didn’t plant properly.  I had a flaky guy in here last year who said that the Cottonwood was planted, but there was a big hole around it so that the roots didn’t get adequate nutrition that they should have had.  It was not a total failure, but everything that they planted died.  For all the things that they did and all the things that they brought in it was reasonably priced.  They had to remove a lot of stuff that we didn’t want and they bought in 3 Rose Mary’s, Pukateo’s, Red Acer‘s, 3 Redbud’s, Cottonwood and put in 2 Vitex trees.  They came in when they said they would.    

4 of the redbud trees they installed in June of 2009 were half dead. I am not a professional but I could tell they were not very viable and not what we paid for. I called 3 times and got no response. I called Angie's List because we had paid $1500 and I was not pleased. They came out again this year, probably because of my comment on Angie's List, and replaced the trees and did not charge us. There was another dead tree, not his fault, that he said he would come out and take care of. He never showed up. They are not reliable. Some of what they planted survived but not all of it. The price did not seem bad at the time but 5 trees did not survive. They did not come back and live up to their promises.

I called in the fall and asked that they be replaced -- and again in the spring, and again, and then my husband called a couple of times. When nothing was ever done, I wrote the first very negative report. But last week Mr. Morales and his crew appeared with three redbud trees, and planted them, removing the half-dead ones. You can gather from this that we ended up with three instead of four trees, but -- oh well. They are nice fully leafed-out trees. Mr. Morales made the good suggestion that a specimen hawthorn tree we have that is dying could be replaced by a red Japanese maple -- and we engaged him to do the work. He is a very pleasant person.

They built it when they said they would, but the quality of workmanship was lousy. The wall is not very straight.
