Overall, the move went very well. I felt that the crew on the packing end (New Mexico Van Lines) was a bit more professional and experienced than the crew on the delivery end (A-1 Freeman), but both ends did a good job . The truck driver (Henry) was great, meticulously tallying all the items, keeping in contact with me on the receiving end, etc. The delivery ended up being a day later than the specific date Henry originally promised, but it was still well within the contracted delivery time window. A few items were damaged beyond repair (two Ikea-quality desks and a DVD rack), and the back panels of two bookcases had holes punched in them. This has nothing to do with New Mexico Van Lines specifically, but just for the record, the North American Van Lines (parent company) damage claims process was slow but smooth and easy. It took a few months from the time I submitted the claim to the time I received reimbursement because of the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year holidays, but it's a fairly stress free process as long as you aren't in a hurry.
