It was great. He was very upfront with us. He could have told us we needed a whole new transmission but he didn't. He gave us a solution that was less expensive. We were very happy with them and we would definitely use them again. They were honest, the service was quick and they really communicated with us.

I like the fact that he tried hard. I could get my car to work because it was old. He replaced the controllers and everything else and still didn't get it. He kept it for four to six weeks and still didn't work. He gave me $200 credit. He was honest about it. Originally, he fixed it before and cost $500 but he didn't charge me anything for the latest visit.

The transmission failed in my 2001 Honda Accord. I took it to the dealership and got an estimate of $4,600 to replace it. A family friend (who is a mechanic) said that Mike's Transmission is the best. He was right and I can't say enough positive things about Mike's Transmission. To begin with, Mike looked at my vehicle free of charge and helped me make the decision. (The dealership charged $65 for this courtesy.) Mike explained my options clearly and never used any high pressure sales tactics. He gave me the information I needed to make the best decision for me. Mike's Transmissions ended up rebuilding the transmission for less than half the price of the dealership and gave me a two year warranty. I highly recommend. A real gem!

My car broke down one evening. I had no clue what was wrong with it. I was told it may be the transmission. After some research we found Mike's Transmissions. He found the problem to be a broken axle. The work was done in a day. When I picked up the car he took the time to explain exactly what happened. It was a nice change from someone just handing over your keys and saying and quot;it's fixed!and quot;. I would highly recommend this shop and will return for future service if needed.

Mike, the owner, was very savvy in immediately knowing what the noise was coming from our transmission. He thought we could continue to drive it and if it got worse, then we should have the clutch replaced. We were headed out of town, so did the work then. Although Mike was very busy he fit us into his schedule because of the trip we were taking in 2 days. His shop is extremely clean. He had the car ready when he said he would. Mike handled the transaction himself, rather than what happens in other shops where you don't get to talk to the person who will make the repair. Highly recommend him. We have subsequently talked with others about Mike's Transmissions and they, too, rave about him. You really won't go wrong here.

Everything was awesome. After reading all the horror stories on the internet from people with the same issues - I thought we'd have to get a new transmission put in. So much for my and quot;car of the yearand quot; 2006 Civic crapping out at 115K .. I was able to drive the car to Mikes.. He had it for a day and found a faulty switch. $150 later - I was back on the road with no issues.

When our transmission failed, I called Mike and described the problem to him. He had me bring the vehicle in so he could inspect it to see the scope of work required before quoting any prices. When he determined the problem, he called me to show me what was wrong and what was needed to correct it. He showed me several problems caused by the previous rebuilder. He performed several upgrades to make the transmission more reliable. He and his staff were very professional and all work was performed in the time frame he quoted.
