Upon arrival the group of men came to install the granite counter tops and install a new granite sink purchased by us. They were in my house for approx 6 hours. Were scheduled for 10 am then when 11 came around and they were not here we called and were told, "oh sorry we fell behind it wont be until around 12ish. Then at 12:15 we receive a call from one of the men asking if we would mind them stopping and have lunch before coming by. What are you supposed to say you want the job done right...They finally show up a little after one stay until 6pm. Made an absolute disaster of my house, couldn't get a piece to fit in correctly so one of the men were standing on my new granite counters and was jumping to get in place. After completion we saw that the seam in our counter was horrible and not even, not a flat surface, very wide and had a big chip in the granite. When I told them I didn't like it he then said that is normal for granite and 90% of all counter tops look like that. I did not buy it and called the Manager Greg Stevens and he came to our home that evening and agreed 100% that this was a horrible job and didn't blame us one bit for calling him. He then took several pictures of the work and flew to Denver two days later to discuss the issues we had with the owner Chris Ring and would call us once he returned back to Albuquerque. He did call us back after several calls into him as we hadnt heard from him and a week had already passed, he told us that they discussed it and the owner Chris was sending out his best man who is his son in law Rich to fix the job and that it would be so good that we probably wouldnt even see the seam. When Rich and other man came to fix the counter another week later, after another five hours he fixes it to the best of his knowledge and says, "This is the best I can do under the circumstances, its not 100% but better." That did not set well with me because I was paying for a 100% job not a "thats the best I can do under the circumstances job." So again spoke to Greg the Manager and he came back to our home and agreed it was still not 100%. I specifically asked him, Would you be happy with this job if it was your home? His answer, "absolutely not, I would not be happy." So again, I want what I was paying for, so he contacted the owner once again and they said that they would send out the best guy from Denver and would have to rip out our entire cabinet and start fresh and not off someone else's mess. I was grateful and then they said that we would have to wait approx two more weeks, which was completely unacceptable in my eyes, as weeks have now gone by and now they want an additional two weeks because they were too busy. Last I checked when you scew up on someone's order of any kind you make right and accommodate them immediately not put them to the back burner. When I told this to Greg he said he would see what he could do....several days again go by before we hear back from him, and this time according to him he said the owner Chris said he does not want to send anyone back out to our house and they went in good faith the one time to fix it and if we didn't like it tuff! I asked Greg for the owners name and number and have called it repeatedly with no response back from him. Greg then told me he would go behind the owners back and send the same group back out to my house. Why would I want the first group of guys back that destroyed my house and were jumping on my cabinets and make this disaster back in my home? He said well thats the best I can do, take it or leave it! Also the group of men that did the job and installed our sink, took our old sink with them, a part to our new sink, all the extra pieces of granite that we paid for with them. It wasn't until that evening when my husband came home from work to hook up the plumbing and noticed all of that missing. He immediately called the crew and was told, "oh sorry we usually take that stuff." Really without asking the customer, and the new part to the sink was an accident, sure it was. We have a rental property that we would have put that sink in. Very unprofessional this company is. Also, we were putting up our backsplash and saw that the counters were not uneven. My husband got the level out and all the new counters were not level, and the granite on each side of our stove is off 3/4 of an inch which is huge. Then shaved one counter down and not the other. Greg the Manager also told us that if we didn't want the same guys returning to do the job again and wanted to cut our loses that he would absorb the cost due as the job was such a mess and it was not 100%. Then two days later he is calling saying no the owner now wants us to pay the full amount even though the job was not properly installed. Again, we have tried contacting the owner on several occasions to never once getting a call back. This is the shadiest place I have even done business with, they have changed their story numerous times in one day. From we fired the group that came out and originally and installed the granite ( whcih in fact they never did) to we'll absorb the balance due, to two days later, never mind you owe even though the job was not complete. To I'm sorry my hands our tied on this and there is nothing I can do, to I'll do it behind their backs. We would have to call literally 4-5 times and leave messages for anyone to call us back. The worst customer service I have ever received. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. There is the old saying..."you get what you paid for." and that is so true, we went with the best price out there and we had the ultimate disaster. DO NOT SHOP MG STONE IN NEW MEXICO OR DENVER, THEY ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF! VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY!
