LOWE'S

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool washer through Lowe's store in North Little Rock Arkansas in February at 2023 and we were told because it was on the floor is either a floor model or a return from a previous customer that it had been serviced and checked out thoroughly and was in great shape. We brought it home hooked it up properly did the first load and the washing machine filled up and as the pressure was applied to the drum the drum had had a crack in it that we didn't know about and all the water spilled out onto our floor that has soap already mixed in it and our floors are hardwood floors and it damaged the floor in a 30x40 size room and now Lowe's was trying to say it was a Whirlpool issue because they are the ones who are contracted to service on their appliances from whirlpool. Well the whirlpool people said that they never ever serviced this washing machine or even checked it out for that matter after we gave them the model number and the exact washing machine. So Lowe's was actually the ones that were responsible. The guy from Whirlpool said that I need to go back and show them the email that he had sent about it not being a service machine from whirlpool like Lowe's said it was supposed to been done. So I went back to Lowe's and emailed the claims adjuster in Risk Management and she told us that she was going to evaluate and determine if it was a Lowe's claim. Well she sent us an email back and said it was a Lowe's claim and that they would be sending and adjuster out to give us an adjustment price and claim for our floor damage. Will he came out 2 weeks after the day of the damage. He looked it oversized the room and went back and said it would take a couple of days to get his report back in so they could let us know how much damage we were supposed to be compensated for. We didn't hear anything from them for a week after that and I had to make a call at the request of the manager of the store were we had went and bought the washing machine from. He made a call and informed us that we needed to call risk management back. So we called risk management back come to find out the claims adjuster and risk management that we were using no longer was employed there and that our claim will now be assigned to a new claim agent. Well I called back and talked to them about it they said they were going to put in request to find out what was going on about it because the adjuster had already been here at my house a week earlier and they still haven't heard anything. So I went back and talked to one of the employees a manager of a department at the same Lowe's store and she made a call and we were told to call the claims department again. So I did call them back on Friday April 14th which is today and we got the same story again they don't know where the claim at it was supposed to be reassigned to another agent. We don't know what's going on and that's a shame!

Good news first:  Lowe's has an excellent computer design capability, and the salesperson I worked with was very helpful in helping me plan my new kitchenette, which had to fit into a very tight space.  The end product looks great.
The bad news is that the customer has to work as a general contractor, scheduling each aspect of the project with Lowe's installation team.  For my small kitchenette, there were about 5 different phases to the the project.  An additional complication is that Lowe's does not supply plumbing or electrical service itself ... I had to hire those personnel separately, and coordinate their work with Lowe's installers. (The cost of service listed above reflects only my Lowe's expenses, which included cabinetry, electric cooktop, microwave, small refrigerator, and installation)
Fortunately, this was an additional kitchen, and did not impact the use of my main kitchen.  The project took longer than I anticipated.  Before using Lowe's again, I would want to price the comparable cost of a professional kitchen planner/installer.

We got several bids for new kitchen cabinets.  Two companies built custom cabinets, two were small companies selling pre-made cabinets, and Lowes was the big company selling pre-made cabinets.  We changed our mind several times during the bid process based upon what we saw and heard.  In the end, the Lowes Schuler cabinets seemed to be of superior quality, Lowes software for visualizing the end result was superior to others, the professionalism of the Lowes staff, and the fact that Schuler had all the specific cabinet options we wanted weighted heavily in our decision.  What clinched it were the multiple discounts and promotions that were being offered which brought the Lowes price down to, if not below, our #2 choice.  Lowes will install the cabinets next week which hopefully will go well.

They provided excellent service and advice on which trimmer to buy.

Like all of the big hardware stores, Lowe's value lies only in its selection. The staff doesn't seem to know which end of a hammer to hold and barely know where things are located within the store. Most of the time they don't know what items even are and when you ask for some particular item, the y respond with and quot;What do you want it for?and quot;. I only use this store when I already know what I want and I know they have it at a good price due to high volume.

They were fantastic and it looks great! I just wish I have had maybe a foot more on the countertop on my bar so chairs could feet all way around it. We got a 6-foot piece, and it would have been great if we got an 8-foot piece. They had large assortment of colors. We went down there with our cabinets, and got everything all matched up. It looks fantastic! I thought their pricing was reasonable, and we got top quality.

My fridge conked out at about 6am on a Sunday morning. I headed to Lowe's where they were having appliance sale. I bought a very low-end and simple fridge. The store worker was helpful and the delivery/service people were polite and efficient. My only complaint was that I purposely chose an in-stock fridge because I needed it asap. I knew I may have to wait a day or two, but at first, they told me the earliest they could deliver (my IN-STOCK) fridge was FRIDAY (remember, this was first thing Sunday)! I was really upset and explained as politely as I could that I purposely came here for the speed and efficiency of a and quot;big warehouseand quot; store and I was disappointed. However, the manager authorized a special exception and I ended up getting it, as agreed upon, on Tuesday with no problems. Works great and I am very happy.

The sales person in the department was easily found and not busy at the time so I didn't have to wait to get the order placed. She was pleasant and knowledgeable and made sure to ask me if I needed to get my grout and other items for the project. She handed me my invoice and clearly explained that she would get an associate to bring the tiles out to the loading area and directed me to the front of the store to pay for the tiles. The cashier was open and payment took very little time and the cashier was pleasant and friendly. I pulled my truck into the pick up area and waited 30 minutes for the tiles to get from the back of the store to the front. Then when the associate went to load the tiles he stacked the individual boxes, which would have worked if he could have provided a large piece of cardboard to hold them in place with a strap. Luckily another associate came out and explained to the first guy that you couldn't stack the tiles without securing them for the trip down the road and he climbed in and moved all the boxes into a single layer in the bed of the truck. This was a saving grace considering it took another 20 minutes to get the loading done and saved me from having to climb into the truck and move the tiles to a single layer before I could go home. The people were very helpful and wanted to be sure I was satisfied. I performed the labor myself so the only service I received was customer service.

Very good delivery experience. On time and they moved our old unit to the garage.

I needed a white cabinet for a bathroom. There was only one Lowes in Alb that had one. I had not brought a big enpugh vehicle so I paid for it and they marked that I would be back on the next Friday. I came and it took 25 minutes for them to find someone who knew where it was and help load it. It was slightly damaged but to much trouble to return.I needed a white cabinet for a bathroom. I got 3 estimates for 100' of 6' high cedar fencing plus a 4' gate and hauling away the old fencing. Their estimate was slightly higher than one of the others, but they agreed to reduce the price to better the other estimate. They were willing to ensure that the fence was done quickly, which was a concern of mine. The installer called me within a day of my acceptance of the proposal and set a date about a week in advance to do the job. He indicated he would finish it in a day or two. They showed up on the time and completed the job in two days. The fence looks great. The gate works fine. The installers were polite and worked hard to get the job done quickly. They cleaned up the mess. My neighbors have complimented me on the fence. I have been happy with Lowe's work on this and will probably consider them again for other kinds of jobs.

The price is competitive with others. When I walk in the door, someone greets me, and directs me to where I need to go.

Lowe's claims they will not order a door without having a technician measure it first. We paid $35.00 to have the measurement done (which would have been credited to the installation charge). It took a week to schedule the measurement and then after calling to ask where he was, he said he forgot what day it was. After the measurement, Lowe's prepared a 7 page contract for a $135.00 door and and $225 installation. Then the said they would order the door with about a 10 day delivery time but no guarantee and no recourse under the contract. Then we could schedule the installation after the door arrived which is another 10 day plus delay. Total time would have been more than a month without a door. When I called to discuss this with the store manager I was treated very rudely and without concern. I was also given inaccurate information about how to close my contractors account with Lowe.s. It started out with the treating my wife poorly and then myself. I am never doing business with Lowe,s again.

DO NOT USE LOWE's CONTRACTING SERVICES OR SPECIAL ORDER FROM THEM.

Overall just an absolutely terrific experience. A very friendly and knowledgeable salesperson answered all our questions and concerns. He indicated that the model we wanted was not in stock and had to be ordered from the manufactorer and would take approximately 14 days. This was not an issue as there are just the two of us and we wash by hand until then. I had done some research on the Bosch web site and discovered a rebate offer that applied to the model we were purchasing. However, it did not apply to products purchased at Lowes, Best Buy or Sears. I mentioned this to the salesperson who then offered us a 10% discount on the dishwasher along with the installation rebate. Within two days of ordering the dishwasher we got a courtesy call from the company handling the install(AHP Services) and a subsequent call from the Lowes installation department to make sure we had got a call from the installer. Within 10 days of ordering the dishwasher we got a call from the installer saying the dishwasher was in and they gave us a two hour window the next day to come out and do the installation. That call was also followed by a subsequent call from Lowes installation department confirming the date and time of the installation. The installer arrived within the two hour window. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Within an hour he had the new dishwasher up and running. He left his card and said that if there were any issues at all to give him a call. We received a call the next day from the Lowe's installation department to make sure everything went well during the install. Like I said, it was just an overall absolutely terrific experience! To be honest, not something we had not anticipated from a Big Box retailer.

I am very pleased with my new refrigerator.

Appliances were fairly priced and the staff was helpful and honest . The staff offered extended warantees but did not use high pressure tactics. The delivery was prompt and we really appreciated the fact that Lowe's took the old appliances away for recycling.

It was a contractor of Lowe's and it was a disaster. They ran out of wood so one piece in the den didn't have wood for 5 weeks. There were all these little problems, then when they were all finished I opened the front door and couldn't open the door because the wood was too high. They came back scratching their heads and didn't know what to do. They put some tile ontop of my old tile entry way to expand it all so the door would open. It messed up the floor by the door so I had to wait another 5 weeks for them to get the wood to replace it. I went to the manager at Lowe's and they gave me a discount of $1600 because of the mess they made. They were decent about it. I'd be afraid to use them again because I don't know what contractor I would get. If I could pick my contractor then I would use them again. The problem wasn't with Lowe's, it was with the contractors.

Price was the deciding factor for me to use a different contractor. Other aspects of professionalism, estimates were timely and good.
