Ian came to our house 3 weeks ago to pick up the mechanism to our grandfather clock.At that time he said it would be 3 to 4 weeks.He came today and fixed our clock just as he promised and on time. we have no coplaints Ian is a very friendly man and knows his trade. Thank you Ian for a great job.

The grandfather clock is over 50years old and had stopped working and needed cleaning. The wall clock is over 150 years old and temperamental - it was hit or miss whether it would work. The cuckoo clock was an heirloom and had been pulled off the wall by a cat. London Chime got all three working again and repaired the cuckoo clock. Lovely people. Very reliable. Great work.

Things went great overall.  Ian is a wonderful chap, quick to respond and very friendly.  Things were done on time and price is fair.  We had contacted him before we read the reviews here on Angie's List and to be honest, I was quite surprised by the negative ones.
At least our experience has been nothing but positive.  We would recommend his services to anyone.

London Chime's owner Ian was very quick to respond to my initial call in October 2011 about repairing my clock.  He took the inner workings with him back to his shop. A few months passed and I called to check on the clock and was told the parts had just come in and the clock would be returned to my house within a couple of weeks.  After about 6 weeks I called again and was told they hadn't forgotten me and would be calling to set up a time to bring the clock out.  Finally on February the 24th the clock was delivered.  The clock worked for about a month.  I called Ian to let him know and he arranged a time to come out and check the clock.  He made a few adjustments but the clock still isn't working.  I have made several calls trying to resolve this issue.  Now when I call Mrs. Beevor always tells me she needs to check Ian's schedule and will call me back and of course this never happens.  1 year later I have a clock that strikes 13 o'clock?? I would not recommend this company to anyone.

See above.These people are pleasant enough but it seem to me that something is very wrong. I cannot recommend this business in good conscience because of the extraordinarily slow service. At no point did they contact me to advise me of progress or lack of same. As to expense, I doubt the price paid for services was a good bargain.

1. This person did not act in a professional manner.2. The clock didn't perform properly when he was done.  3. The Grandfather clock had finger prints on the weights and clock face.

Hired this company to fix a grandmother clock. He had to come back several times to do work on the clock. I dont think the man knows what he is doing.  The only thing he is good at is charging big fat fees.

I enjoy working with this person.  Both he and his wife are expatriots from  England and have beautiful accents.  I believe this guy is perfectly honest as the day is long, and after 30 years I will return if necessary.  I have come to understand he just does not deliver on the date he will first give you.  It will be later.  Now that you know that, you can get on with it.  He treats my clocks like they were children and I thought I was the onlly who ever did such a thing.
