The mirror fell off the windshield less than 8 months later.  Lomas refused to replace this defective or improperly installed windshield.  Instead, they lied, saying it was "impossible" that they were at fault and tried to blame the customer, making a number of false allegations and insults.  They deleted my comments on their website.
Response from Lomas Glass and Tint
"While we do offer a lifetime warranty on all labor related issues, we cannot warranty broken glass several months later. In this case the mirror was broken off most likely by the mirror being hit from the inside or the very loud aftermarket subwoofer system in the vehicle vibrating the mirror. The windshield was fine for the first 8 months and it would be very unlikely for the glass to break away at the base of the mirror without external force. When the damage was brought to our attention we offered a discount of $80 from our normal price for the replacement as neither I, the distributor, or the manufacturer can guarantee against glass breakage, so basically it was going to be the cost of materials and $25 for labor."

I had two cars broken into overnight, and after having the police do their investigation, I took them into Lomas Glass and Tint. They were the cheapest quote that I got over the phone for both vehicles and guaranteed work done the same day provided we got them in before 2:30PM. They got the work done for the exact quoted price ($160 + tax for my car, $175 + tax for my sister's) and were done with it by that evening. Even though they close at 5:00PM, they stayed an extra few minutes for us so we could have them back that night.
I always like to shop local businesses when I can, and these guys certainly earned my future business. They took a pretty crappy day and at least made it passable, which, considering the circumstances, is a big win in my book.

Very well. I visited or phoned at least half a dozen tinting shops before selecting Lomas Glass and Tint. To me they seemed the most knowledgeable and professional, although not the least expensive.
I made an appointment and they tinted the windows exactly within the time agreed. I have been very happy with the results so far, -- no problem of any kind.

I called around for quotes. Though Lomas Glass was not rated on Angies list at the time it was well rated on another site so I called them. Lomas Glass was the most friendly and helpful company I called. They also had the most options and good prices. Though they were not the cheapest, I knew the lowest price was not how to chose tinting. They had four types of films to chose from. They very clearly and objectively laid out my options and what you get over the phone. I was given an appointment for the time I wanted and when I got there they knew who I was and what car I had when I walked in the door showing they were organized. I was not encouraged to chose something expensive, but I did chose their high end film which is ceramic and reported to have higher heat rejection and not interfere with electronics like GPS. The man was helpful in picking the darkness and quick to finish the job. When I paid I was given clear instructions on how to care for the tint and what to do if there were any problems for the life of the car to use the warranty.
