They did good. They do pickup and delivery. It was extra but they do it.

When I entered Kand S Service, I was first helped by a woman at the parts counter (which was nice because I was a woman needing assistance). I explained that I needed a new spark plug wire for my John Deere D110 lawn tractor, and showed her the mouse-chewed wire that I needed to replace. She made an attempt to look up the part on the computer, but had no luck. When the owner/manager (big guy with a shaved head) was free, she asked him how to find out what part I needed. He came over, asked me what it was for, so I again said the brand and model#. He proceeded to tell me that he could not determine any parts, unless I knew the type of ENGINE in my mower (ok I thought), and where engine model #'s for various different engines he had on display were. I was a little dismayed by this, since I had just driven 35 miles into Albuquerque to get the part, and of course the lawn tractor was at home. I asked if it was possible to compare my part with a starter cables from a few of the possible engines that could be in a John Deere D110, and he yelled at me and quot;WHY WOULD I WANT TO DO THAT?!and quot; I didn't respond, but thought to myself - customer service maybe? He then crossed the store, slammed the front door on some engine noise outside, and went behind an adjacent parts counter. I got out my phone so that I could call my husband, and have him check for the engine information that I needed, so I could still buy the part from this wretched man. I was dialing home, when the owner started yelling from behind me something along the lines of and quot;Well excuse me for you not knowing what the h*** you came in here for!and quot; At that point, I had had quite enough, and I left the store after a choice response of my own. He was still yelling when I left. I was shaking when I got into my car.
My husband and I have used Kand S Service several times over the past 30 years, and always had good service and excellent repairs. I have no idea what instigated this guy's hostility - they only had 1 other customer, and she was being waited on outside by another employee, so they weren't busy. I will never go there again. I went to another store to buy the part after this encounter, and the person working there told me that many of his customers have had the same experience at Kand S.

Good professional job performed quicker and at less cost than estimated. They also gave me some good advice by advising me that using gasoline with ethanol would destroy the rubber primer button that had to be replaced. They also had the non ethanol gasoline available for purchase.

I brought my leaf blower to Kand S Service Center for repair. A helpful young man directed me to the right counter and joshed with me for a moment, (and quot;yes we can fix it for 300 dollarsand quot;.. much laughing) talked to the repair counter guy for a few and was told it would be cheaper to buy a new new one at Walmart. I asked the price for a new carburetor for it, and asked a few more questions. First young man suggested buying one of their electric ones, and I told him, no, that I needed a gas powered blower, so he, the counter guy, and myself, talked about some other blowers they had. Another man came in with his blower carburetor in hand, looking for a new one, and we all stopped and listened to him, and the owner of the business, talk about blower carbs. The man leaves, so I turn to ask the counter guy another question, and the owner came over, picked up my leaf blower off the counter, handed to me, and said, and quot;Goodbye. get out of the store.and quot; in a very ugly manner. I was taken aback and said, and quot;Whoa?and quot;. Then I said, and quot;I am sorry I interrupted your day guysand quot;....... as I was leaving. The owner yelled after me, and quot;I'm not paying these guys 14 dollars an hour to stand around and talk to you.and quot;
I was the only customer in the store when I walked in. the two men I talked with were standing around when I walked in, and only one other customer came in while I was there, and he left quickly.
This whole encounter was about 10 minutes.
I have given Kand S my small engine repair business for several years, but never ever again.
