I did a home project of pouring a 10ft x 10ft x 3.5in
concrete slab. the quantity of cement needed is approx. 1.08 cubic yards. I
went to JPR Gravel in Rio Rancho, ordered and payed for 1.25 Cubic yards of
concrete. I poured what concrete was loaded in the Redi-Mix cart and was short
about a 1ft x 10ft area. Luckily, I had some 60lbs bags of Quickcrete on hand,
as it took, 8 bags of quickcrete to finish the job. I payed for 1.25 cubic yards of concrete which would have left plenty of excess concrete to complete the job.
I was obviously shorted on the amount of concrete that was loaded. The office personnel was not interested and of no help in
resolving my problem when I explained my situation.

I ordered 13 tons of gravel. It was delivered on time, and everything seemed fine.
The problem came a few days later when I needed more. I had nearly completed the large area of the front yard, and lacked only the gravel for a couple hundred square feet in that area, another area on the opposite side of the driveway, and the side yards. I ordered another 13 tons. It was delivered on time, but it was immediately apparent that it was not the same rock. What they'd delivered the first time was not crushed and was a much darker color.
I called JPR, and they sent their foreman out to look at the rock. He told me that it was just batch-to-batch variation - I could see that if the color were a bit different, but one was crushed and the other was not, and the color is COMPLETELY different. They are NOT the same rock. Nonetheless, he refused to do anything about the situation, other than to blame it on his supplier and to suggest that I could redesign my landscape around these two colors of rock.
So what I've got is a partially done landscape, a bunch of rock laid down that nobody in town has been able to find a match for, no idea how I'm going to fix the problem without a huge amount of labor, and a supplier who says that this isn't their problem. That is not the sort of customer service I expect. I definitely know who I will NOT be calling for gravel when I'm ready to do the back yard.

went to JPR Garvel in Rio Rancho and purchased 3 tons of rocks to be delivered to my home...gentleman that waited on me helped me to calculate how much rock I would need and set up delivery for the next day between 8 and 10 a.m....delivery was made at 9 a.m. the next day...service was great however I was not happy with the quality of rock...it was mixed with gravel and sand...after one night of rain the pile turned to rock and mud...I wasted a day shoveling this mess when staight rock would not have taken so long to move...I wrote a letter (with photos) to JPR asking if this was a common issue and never got a response back....so the next time I need rock/gravel I will shop elsewhere....
