Selecting a CPA firm is one of the most important decisions an individual or business can make. I hope to make that decision a bit easier. My clients are truly somebody special to me and I am committed to providing both individuals and small businesses the highest level of service possible. For the past couple of years I've been thinking of getting an accountant, and when I received a bill from the IRS out of the blue for $7,000 I knew the time was now. I had just moved to Albuquerque and found Jon on Angie's List. I contacted him in early April, his busiest time, and he got back to me right away. I sent him the information and he was on it right away--I hadn't even seen the deadline on the letter but he spotted it an immediately contacted the IRS on my behalf. After having to deal with getting lots of documents from me and my financial adviser--a process during which he showed a great deal of patience--he filed my amended return and I owed approximately $150.00. I was extremely pleased and he will be doing mine and my spouse's taxes from now on.

He was responsive, available and detail-oriented. The biggest thing that stood out to me was he was able to look at my prior years tax returns and locate errors that had been made and figured out ways to amend those returns so that I would benefit. He's all A's.

It was great! Things were done quickly and they were very easy to work with. A lot of things are done online which I liked a lot,

- I selected Jon from Angie's list after a bad experience with a new CPA in 2013. Jon set up his own service a few years back but it is obvious that he has considerable experience. As a recent retiree with IRAs and 401ks, I needed someone with experience in these areas. Jon's professional, courteous manner was a plus.

We moved to Albuquerque from Saratoga, CA in 2013, selling the house I'd lived in there since 1985.We also have out-of-state rental properties and other non-wage income, so this year's tax returns will be complex. Jon has been very easy to work with. He was great in our face-to-face meeting, requesting documents and making suggestions for deductions and IRA setup. He set us up with a secure online portal to upload documents he discovered were required after our meeting, eliminating the need for driving back out to drop them off or mailing them. He's very pleasant, and very professional, comparing very favorably with the accountant we used in California. I highly recommend him.

I highly recommend Jon Bell for tax preparation. I was referred to him by a friend and have been nothing but impressed. He is extremely thorough and looks at every detail to get the best results. He once spent 8 hours on the phone with IRS to figure out some particularly complicated details. He is not the cheapest but you really get what you pay for.

I called a number that was advertising on-line to start a business that would only take 10 hours a week commitment. Well, that wasn't quite true. And I was roped into setting up a corporation for this lucrative business that was going to happen. So in 2011, I needed to file an 1120S which I did by researching requirements. I had only had the business for 3 months so didn't think it was a big deal. But when it became time to file the 2012 return I realized that I had already missed the March 15th deadline when I was preparing my personal return that was due on April 15th. At that time I filed an extension and decided that I needed professional help. I contacted Jon based on reviews on Angie's list and am not disappointed. He was personable and explained what needed to be done and why. After recalculating my corporation and personal returns for 2011 and 2012 I will receive $900 back which will make a good return on the $1,500 he charged me. Also, I liquidated the corporation because it was something that I should never have done. Just got roped in! Overall, I was very happy with the service I received from Jon Bell CPA.

Really well, highly professional. Explained all details, suggested ways to save on taxes, did family taxes, and followed up with any questions. Has a great philosophy, Every should pay their taxes, but no one should pay a penny more than they owe.
