Jim's 66 Muffler & Auto Service

I hit a pothole and my muffler separated from the Catalytic Converter. They offered to look at my car as soon as I could bet there. They immediately determined that all needed was to have the muffler welded. Total time 20 minutes. Very friendly and professional. $70.00 total price. I selected them because of other positive reviews on Angies List.

The service staff were courteous and knowledgeable, worked on the service requested was done right away, no long wait. I surely will come back for future service needs.

Work was completed as promised and at the price quoted. Did not have to wait to be serviced, just pulled in, got the estimate and they got to work. Great customer service.

Jim and Staff did a very good job. They allowed me the opportunity to see under the vehicle and they explained what they planned to do; then, they promptly and professionally did what they said they were going to do.

On another positive note, they provided me a quote in advance; but, when they saw the vehicle, they realized they had under quote the price. Much to my surprise, the shop honored the estimate with no prejudice and, again, professionally performed the job.

I arrived at the shop a little after 10 am and they got to my car right away.  This is the third time I have used Jim's 66 Muffler, and the previous two times they did excellent work.  They did another fine job this time too
I purchased a catalytic converter and didn't want to install myself.  Jim's 66 Muffler said no problem to install the new catalytic converter.  The job was done quickly too.  When I got home I laid on the ground to look under my car and check out the work.  Very good professional job.  One thing that impressed me was what they did to the bolts at the front of the catalytic converter.  Instead of just installing one nut on each of the four bolts another nut was screwed on too.  They "double-nutted" each bolt to reduce the risk of the single nut vibrating loose.  Vibration and expansion and contraction of exhaust bolts and nuts can cause things to loosen up so they helped to reduce that from occurring.
I recommend Jim's 66 Muffler & Auto Service they will treat you right.  Will be using them again.

I took in my headers and showed him the job the other shop did. I asked if he could remove the other job and do the job right. He said he could and I depended on his reputation on Angie's list to give him the job. He did the job and it has worked out well for me.

I bought a catalytic converter for my truck and I was going to install it myself. However I decided I didn't want to install it even though I have worked on cars and trucks for years. I didn't want to do it in my garage and crawl around on the floor again. Previously I had Jim's 66 Muffler replace the muffler on my father's 1952 Studebaker and they did a good job. I decided to have them install the catalytic converter on my Dakota truck too.
I drove to Jim's 66 Muffler told them what I needed done and they quickly drove the truck in their shop. The catalytic converter was installed very quickly, I don't remember the exact time it took but I know it was less than an hour. They did a good job, no exhaust leaks and my truck runs very good.
My original catalytic converter was getting plugged up and I was losing power. Now I have plenty of power and I am glad I found Jim's 66 Muffler that does good exhaust work at a great price. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

A different shop wanted to replace my exhaust system at a cost of more than $400. Drove in and was served promptly at Jim's 66. Pleasant people and quality service at a reasonable price.

I needed to replace the catalytic converter(s) on my 2000 Subaru Forester in order to pass emissions test for vehicle inspection, and I really didn't want to spend more than the car is worth. These folks were great...price, service, everything...from beginning to end. I strongly recommend them, and will certainly try them in the future for other needed repairs.

They were about 1/3 of the price of the Saturn Dealership. I received the recommendation from 2 other auto services. They did it in an hour and a half.

I received a dealership estimate of $700 dollars to fix a hole in the exhaust system of my Nissan Altima; they don't do "repairs", only replace parts. So I opted to find a local shop that would save me time, money and waste. I arrived at Jim's without an appointment (though I had called ahead to make sure they weren't busy). They put my car on the lift within minutes, and invited me to the garage to show me the hole that was causing the problem. They gave me an unbeatable estimate to repair it ($25+tax), did the job, and I was on my way. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

We dropped the car off at Jim's on Central in the late morning, planning to return from the East Mountains to pick it up the next day. When they realized that we would have to return to town, were told that they could work on it right away and it could be ready in 2 hours. So we did some errands and came back in a little less than 2 hours and the work on the car was finished. They took the time to show us what they did, and showed us the worn out parts. The cost for the work was at the agreed-on price. Great friendly service; and they saved us another trip to town.

From estimate to completion, about an hour - I arrived early, got the quote, left the car. It was ready when promised at the quoted price.
