(I put $0.00 for the amount b/c I don't remember how much it was. It was the standard percentage that you pay to sell your home when using a realtor). John is wonderful. He went above and beyond the call of duty in selling our home for us. I don?t even know where to begin in explaining all that he did for us. We got his name from our builder (we wanted to sell our house and build another one). Though we didn?t know John until we called him to put our house on the market, he quickly became more than just a realtor to us ? he treated us like family. Selling a home can be a VERY stressful thing, and I wound up calling John many times when I was upset (over things that were NOT his fault, things that had to do with selling a home when you have a lockbox on your front door). John never got upset with me for calling him so many times, and he always made me feel better. Then once our home sold, he took care of EVERYTHING. There were a few things that needed to be repaired (that my husband and I had agreed to as requested by the buyer), and there were also other things that needed to be coordinated once our house had sold (things that are just a part of the sale of a home). John arranged for everything to get done. I didn?t have to arrange anything myself. One day he even waited at our house for a repairman who was running late! (so that I could continue moving stuff out of our house and into the apartment that my husband and I had rented, since our other house was not built yet). I'm not sure I ever told him how much I appreciated that! Also, at Christmas time, he had sent us a fridge magnet with his phone numbers on it. I didn?t realize that one of the numbers was his home phone, and so I called him at that number many many times over the course of the year, thinking it was his direct office number! I finally realized it, but he never once complained. Before putting our house on the market, he had also helped us purchase the lot that we would be building our next house on. We didn?t have a lot of money to spend on it, but John patiently submitted offers to people who were selling lots in the area where we wanted to build. He never complained even when our offers were much lower than the asking price, knowing that there was a good chance that our offers would be rejected and that his time would be wasted. But he kept at it with us, and finally one of our offers was accepted. And now we are enjoying our new home. And in addition to all of this, John is so knowledgeable about the market. He understands how the market works, and knows how to price your house properly. We would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to sell their home!
