Owner Hector Dominguez came to my residence to look at my AC that was not running and diagnosed it as a faulty capacitor. He quoted me at $450 and said he usually charges $600 for a job like this. His reasoning for his price was that he was going to replace it with a “much higher quality capacitor” which would cost $100 just for the part. I phoned someone I know who is retired from this industry and he said Hector’s estimate is outrageous. A capacitor typically costs around $30 and takes about 10 min to replace. After calling him out about his absurd over pricing, Hector then priced me at $350 and finally $250. When I refused his service, he was physically upset and said I had to pay him for going out to my house. This fee was never addressed during our initial conversation. Do not trust Hector Dominguez, he is money hungry and tried to rip me off thinking I’m a female who doesn’t know anything.
