The car is an old 2004 Hyundai Sonata. Their shop manual showed a number of key patterns for that vehicle The first one they tried making, didn't work. They tried making a key to the next pattern and it wouldn't work. a bunch of keys were made to the suggested patterns. Nothing worked until the technician happened to see a number embossed on the broken piece of the removed key. That did the trick! Two technicians patiently worked through the problem and resolved it after over one hour of frustration.
They kept composed and friendly throughout the ordeal and to top it off, they would not accept any remuneration!!!!

I took the broken parts to the shop. It was an older model of door latch. The technician at the shop was familiar with that type and was able to fix it .They were so friendly and professional, and fixed it by the next morning. The repair cost a bit but saved me from having to buy a new one which would have been much more expensive and harder to install.. They showed me how it worked and how to reinstall it and made sure I understood so I would do it correctly.
