My wife and I recently became first time homeowners, Heidi helped us obtain a mortgage loan through Van Dyk Mortgage Company. First off, we didn't quite know what type of loan we wanted to obtain. We emailed Heidi and she responded immediately with a very detailed explanation of the different loan options available to us. At the time we were looking at renovation loans, but eventually settled on a home that was in like-new condition so that opened up both conventional and VA loan options.
Before deciding to go with Heidi, I had done my homework. I obtained price quotes from 5 other lenders, and VanDyk was by-far the lowest interest rate and lowest fees of all other lenders. Heidi provided a very detailed spreadsheet to help us decide on which option was best. At no point was she pushy or trying to steer us in one direction or another. When asked a question, she would always respond promptly and was extremely knowledgeable about all of the various options and requirements.
I was a very demanding client... I would continually ask Heidi questions regarding Debt to income ratio requirements, the process of obtaining inspections, the required fees for escrow and the general closing process. Heidi handled it all with style and grace. It was truly a wonderful experience working with her! I cannot recommend her enough.

The loan went very smoothly. Heidi is very down to earth but also knowledgeable and smart. She did NOT try to push us into a more expensive house with a bigger loan. Instead, she helped us choose a price well within our means. She got us a good interest rate (3.25%) and the various fees were low. She responded very quickly by email, even when she was out of country on a rare vacation. Overall, a great experience. No complaints whatsoever.

I love this company. They are essentially a small, boutique outfit, with only a few people doing a lot of work. This makes them easy to access - they are approachable and always pleasant. I personally worked with Karen H. both times I interacted with Perennial. She is professional, smart, and extremely competent. Karen stays up to date on all the industry news.

Matt Hunter, whose name I got off Angie's List, was our agent. He worked on our refinance from September 1 until closing on November 5 which was the first day we actually met in person. Everything was done by phone and mail. He was very friendly, professional, patient and thorough and never seemed put out by our hundreds of questions. His vast knowledge and understanding of this whole process made it completely painless for us. He's the best!
