"Thank you for the review!"
"Thank you for the great review!"
"Thank you for your business. We are glad that you like your granite. We are sorry for the misunderstanding of the paper work you signed before we started your job. In that contract it states: Plumbing: Granite Passion LLC. does not reconnect plumbing. It is the customers responsibility to make arrangements with the installer or independent plumber to have plumbing reconnected. Granite Passion LLC. is not responsible for older plumbing (some older shut off valves may stick or not close all the way). To the left of this on your contract you initialed indicating you understood. We disconnect the plumbing for free as part of demolition, so the customer does not incur additional plumbing fees. Granite Passion LLC. specializes in importing rare, beautiful, natural stone and stone masonry."
Installation left a lot to be desired. The installers ripped out my plumbing carelessly and caused a big leak. I tried to keep emptying pails of water while the sink leaked while my husband took off from work to try to find a cap for the line. He couldn't find a cap. While I was bailing water, one of the work man stole my $200 faucet which is only a year old, saying "gee I didn't think you wanted it". Then we did not get all the pieces back for the faucet when I told him I did want my faucet. We agreed to pay the installers to fix our plumbing when they were done, but since pieces were missing they claimed they did not have time to fix the plumbing. They should not have taken my sink parts out to their trucks without asking me if I wanted them! And then they wanted to leave me with a major amount of water flooding my kitchen. I refused to sign off on the job and then finally, after 4 hours of me bailing water and my husband taking off work to try to find a cap, the guy in charge went and got a cap for the water line out of his truck and charged me $10 for it. Why didn't he cap the leak hours before if he had the right piece all along? Is it funny to watch us run around trying to control a flood for hours? What a terrible way to treat a customer. And seriously - I'm spending $2500 and they can't provide a $10 cap to prevent a flood? And they need to use a plastic bag for the pieces they take off my sink, dishwasher, faucet, spray, it just crazy to take the pieces of my plumbing out to their trucks!! I have to replace everything because many parts are gone. It will cost me hundreds of dollars because they were careless with my plumbing parts. They were so busy loading anything they could reuse into their trucks that they never asked me if perhaps I would like to reuse some of my plumbing myself.
My kitchen was left wet and torn apart (drawers out, everything disconnected - even the dishwasher was not secured to cabinets like their work order says they will do. My sink, disposal, faucet, and dishwasher pieces were lost so we can't reconnect them, everything from below the sink is in the middle of the floor, all the electric is now exposed because they don't cut the covers where the back splash comes up to them. My kitchen looks like a war zone.). Have a plumber standing by before these guys come to your house, all they care about is putting in the counter top and they obviously do not care if they leave you flooded and lose your plumbing parts. The counter looks good, but my plumbing is completely destroyed and that was not necessary.
"The customer came into our showroom on 05/23/2015. We went and measured on 05/27/2015. The customer came back into the showroom on 05/29/2015 to purchase. On 05/29/2015 we went over the details of the job with the customers. I explained to them that we do not re - hook plumbing, it is noted on the estimate sheet with a place for the customer to sign and the customer signed the sheet acknowledging that. On 06/02/2015 the installer showed up in the morning and started to demo their countertops and sink. When the installer went to turn off the water for the sink the shut off valve would not turn off. The plumbing appeared to be extremely old ( possibly the original plumbing from the 1950's. ) At about 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. the customer told the installer that they were going to have a plumber come in after we were finished. They also told one of the owners the same on 05/29/2015. The installer did not know he had a cap for the water until he tore his trailer apart and just by chance had found one. About 45 minutes before the install was complete the customer asked the installer if he would do the plumbing. At that point it was too late and the installer did not have enough time to do the plumbing. Had the installer known earlier he could have designated tasks to the other installers and would have been able to do the plumbing. (Granite Passion LLC. does not offer to do plumbing all additional work outside of granite is between the customer and installer.) As for the faucet it was attached to the old sink and the installer before doing any demo asked the customer about what they would like to keep. The customer said the faucet. The installer placed the old sink with the faucet attached to it in their front yard in the grass. Before the installer loaded any unwanted material into his truck he removed the faucet from the old sink and gave it to the customer with all parts that were on / in the faucet when it was removed. The installer does not put anything in his truck from the demo until the job is 100% complete and it is time to clean up and leave the jobsite. The customer states in the review that they refused to sign off on the job and did not. That is a false statement given we have said paper with the customers signature. We also have a area for comments and nothing was mentioned about flooding from the customer. The only comment on the sheet was " would have been nice if the installer would have had more time to re - hook the plumbing". Also the total cost of the job was $2374.25. That also included the gas fee to get to Los Alamos, N.M. As for the electrical showing the installer gave the customers 2 options. The first option was to cut the backsplash down to come to the bottom of the electrical plates. The second option was to leave the backsplash at the standard 4 inches and cut the bottom of the plates. The customer choose option # 2 and they said they would cut the plates them self. The old sink was disposed of because they got a new sink and the customer told the installer to dispose of it. As for everything in the middle of the floor, we advised the customer to remove everything from the bottom cabinets on 05/27/2015. The customer did not remove anything. The installer placed what was under the sink on the floor in the kitchen."
Of course, granite is not cheap, however, I feel that the price for the quality and service was a very good value.
"Thank you for such a great review!"
"Thank you for the A review!"
"We are happy that you like your kitchen. Yes our installer technically is a subcontractor. He is part of the Granite Passion team and has been for many years. The only reason why he is a subcontractor is for payroll purposes. Granite Passion itself measures the homes and tells the installer how much material to take and how to put it together. Our installer is one of the best installers in New Mexico if not the best and that is what we want for our customers.....the best."
While this locally-owned business is smaller than some of the "big box" granite stores in town, the granite choices were more than sufficient, and the granite itself is beautiful and high-quality. The company worked with me to get our new granite installed on a quick schedule. The installers arrived right on time, worked quickly, and did a very neat, high-quality job. I will definitely use this business again when we get to work on our kitchen!
"Thank you for the very kind review. We really enjoyed working with you. We look forward to helping you with future projects."
"Thank you so much for the review. We try our hardest to make this process as easy as possible for the customers."
"Thank you very much for the review! It's nice to hear from happy customers. If you need anything please let us know. Since you've been in we have expanded our selection. :)"
If there are questions, please speak with the owners, Sharon and Nicole. They can solve any problems you have. Do not let anyone else confuse you or take what they say as gospel when you have issues or concerns. We found out that Sharon and Nicole are the ones who run the business and truly know what is going on.
The kitchen counters and backsplash are done and look great. The only issue at the install was that we said we wanted to keep the left over granite (we bought two slabs, so all the granite was ours) the remaining and the installers didn't know that and had loaded it up to take it back. Luckily, we noticed that before they left and that was taken care of.
So, all in all, everything is good. But, as is in all consumer transactions, PAY ATTENTION!
"Thank you for your review! It's great to hear that you are happy with the finished product. If we can help out in any other way we would be happy to. However we do not understand the cost of $7000.00. The granite and install we did for you for the second faze was only a little over 1/3 of the $7000.00, that also includes the piece you bought for the first faze. The first faze we didn't install the stone, your cabinet maker did. Is this possibly the cost for the total kitchen remodel?"
"Thank you for the positive review! The granite you picked out is starting to be a hard one to find for us to import. We are glad you are able to utilize the left over piece."
"Thank you very much for the positive review! We feel very lucky to have Bobs services. The people that work here at Granite Passion all like what we do for a living. We are more then happy to help people with colors and ideas. We dislike seeing granite go to waste so if we can find a way to use it and you like the idea, it's a win, win situation."
"Thank you very much for the across the board A rating! We like it a lot when customers are happy. Sorry about the leak in the faucet!"
