We had our countertops and both bathrooms done at the beginning of April. The process has been a nightmare and mid way through June and we still haven’t gotten everything finished. The work was very poor and we even had a bubble form in one of the tubs already. They had to come back after the initial spray to do touch ups but they didn’t do them correctly and they are very noticeable so the job doesn’t look new at all. The communication has been horrendous as well. My local rep has ignored me with every attempt to contact them throughout the job so I’ve had to call corporate many times. They don’t really care either. Their response has been that the reps are locally owned and operated franchises so all they can do is encourage the rep to reach out and respond to me but there’s nothing more they can do. So corporate doesn’t seem to have any stake or care in the reputation of their company. We have exposed edges of the finish in our shower that I know will lead to issues, we have very rough areas from the initial spray where they added so much texture they kept jamming up their own equipment, we have dirt and hair in the finish since they didn’t take care in the process of spraying, we have sanding marks from where they tried to smooth out rough areas but didn’t then take care of them any further, there was overspray on our floors and vanity because they also did not cover or protect the areas around the job properly. When they sprayed our kitchen counters I had to get out my own tarps to cover the dining room and tape off the room opening because the mess was getting all over my house. The comment I got from doing that was “that’s way more than I was willing to do.”

I visited their showroom to review the finish options. They have a nice display and were very helpful. There is no sales pressure at all. They came to do an estimate at my home (no charge for this) and I scheduled service for the following week.
The service tech showed up when he said he would. He was friendly, courteous and explained what would be done. He did a very careful, neat job and the countertops look much better.
The only down side is the smell - it's pretty nasty, like airplane glue! But it was a mild day and keeping the windows open helped. By the next day, it was gone. If you can afford it, staying in a motel overnight might be a good way to go.
The only unknown is the long term durability, but I think with a little common sense care it will be fine. I would not hesitate to use these folks again.

We are very happy with Get A Grip Inc. They had to redo a job that had been done poorly. The staff was wonderful. They were able to correct a terrible problem and replace it with a product that actually as of now is doing very well. We had the work done in November and people just moved in, so we haven't used the tub yet, so we don't know how well the surface is holding up, but it looked beautiful when they were done.

The result of the resurfacing was excellent. The tub looks like new. I was surprised at such a superior (perfect) result. The customer service was flawless. Technicians arrived when scheduled, and called prior to their appointment to verify that they were enroute. There is NOT a single reason that I would not use Get a Grip again and recommend them to all.

We just moved into a house with tacky bathroom counter tops from the 1970's. One of them was a big vanity with double sinks that had a gash in one of the sinks - the other was a single sink - black with gold swirls in it. We looked into replacing the vanities, sinks and counter tops but had heard good things about Get a Grip, so we decided to have them come out and give us an estimate. They came out within a very reasonable amount of time to do the estimate and gave us 4 options depending on the type of coating we wanted them to use. We decided to go with the middle-of-the-road coatings and were able to schedule service within a week and 1/2. Our tech arrived on schedule - and finished both areas in under 2 hours - amazing! As other reviewers have mentioned (and as they forewarned us), the smell is pretty icky - it smells like someone dumped over a bucket of nail polish. It did start to dissipate by the end of the day, though. The finished product is truly amazing. Not only does it completely cover up the ugly original finish - it also filled in the gashes in the sink.
We paid a total of $367 to resurface both counter tops and will likely refinish the vanities ourselves. I would highly recommend Get a Grip if you don't want to spend a ton of money but want something that looks nice and will last awhile.

Our fiberglass shower was in great shape but very worn to the black part in sections due to years of cleansers and rubbing. It now looks like the whole unit was replaced. It looks fantastic. The non skid finish was not near as rough as the tub, but they were quick to schedule an appointment to add a little more skid proof as I was expecting. They just finished with that and it is great.
The bathtub was also in good shape and has real nice tile around it, so we just had a non skid surface applied to it. It works great.
We have a wet bar that had some irreplaceable detailed tile that some had chips worn in them. The tile chips were filled in and colored perfectly. If you look real close you can tell they were repaired/repainted, but they look wonderful if you don't know that the tile was chipped.
We highly recommend them.

We called and Andy came out and gave us a quote and that’s exactly what the job cost—there were no hidden extra costs. Work was scheduled for three weeks later. Vince did the work which took approximately five and a half hours. The place was upside down that day and the odor was pretty potent but we planned for this and had made hotel reservations for a night. The following morning, the odor was still perceptible but not bad at all. Our kitchen and bathroom countertops were all the same color, a dull gray, fit for a funeral parlor. The improvement is remarkable. Vince did a great job, really worked his tail off. The resurfacing is done so well, it looks as if the countertops were made to look the way they do now and not that they’ve been resurfaced.

We decided to update our bathrooms. The Master was completely redone by another company, but because the and quot;Guestand quot; bath was seldom used, the tile was in much better shape, so we decided just a refinishing would suffice.
Our tub was re-enameled in a different color, and the tile walls were spray coated in a and quot;spackledand quot; design.
It took two days, as I recall, but we have been VERY happy with the results, and have received many complements from visitors.

We were preparing this old house for sale, it was a rental and we didn't want to spend too much. Get A Grip was recommended by my realtor. They have some process where the put a new surface on old tile, which looks nice and leaves the old tile detail visible. I felt we got a lot of product for a realitively small cost. Looks very nice.

I called and had a tech come out to see whether the tub and shower could be resurfaced. They can resurface fiberglass, but not if it contains acrylic. I didn't know, and it turned out the tech had to try a chemical on a little spot to confirm there was no acrylic there. On the apporintment day, a different tech came. He did the first step, which is an acid etch, to clean the surface. Once that was done, it looked good enough that they did not need to apply the coating. The tech was very helpful in pointing that out, instead of applying the coating and charging me for it. As a result, I saved about half of the estimated cost. The tub and shower pan look very good now.

First visit, the worker was extremely polite, friendly, and very thorough in spending a lot of time to do the preparation well. Next day he applied the coating. He made a great personal and professional impression. My wife commented on how this must really help the reputation of this company. Two months later, the coating is beginning to peel around the non-skid bumps. Apparently it's difficult to effectively clean and adhere a coating to this sort of floor. She called and the same worker was extremely apologetic, explaining that he might not have fully prepped the surface or done as good a job as possible. He made no excuses and offered to do whatever warranty work it would take to make the job right at no cost. He was willing to come in at my wife's convenience, even if it meant weekend work. Second visit this week has gone even better. He removed the previously applied surface and ground out all the non-skid bumps (we'll find other means for shower safety) leaving a pristinely smooth and even surface. He applied the second coating yesterday. It looks fabulous and he was once again personable, kind and engaging. My wife is a stickler for having the work done to spec and on time and that the surrounding area is well protected from the mess of the work. Sometimes, even when those apparently high standards are not met, the outcome is not great. However, we couldn't remember a service provider of this high caliber in decades when warranty work was involved. While the original work DID require rework and was a little inconvenient to schedule, it happens, and it's amazing how much friendly, accountable and apologetic service will make a less than perfect job more than okay. Great job, Fabian! We would recommend this company to anyone as long as the management and other workers have the same attitudes and work ethics as this young man.

Ordered a bathtub refinish - what a nightmare! the "technician" was late the first day, grumbled about the job the whole time. They never told me how bad the fumes would be, and instead of venting fumes outside, he ran it through my house! I had to go to the doctor as the fumes caused a severe asthma attack and was on steroids for 2 weeks. Add to this, he was supposed to caulk the tub when he was done, but he ran out of caulk and told me to finish it. These guys don't care about the customer, just the money

Overall, the initial visit and then the follow-up (one week later) were great. Worker arrived on time, answered any questions I had about the process, listened to my concerns and then proceeded with the tub resurface. This involved removing tub jets and masking off metal parts. Everything was done nicely and returned to original working order.
