Their prices are fantastic and their customer care is unbelievable. They'll come to my house or business or I can even take things in and they'll stay late to take care of me. If I call and tell them I'm going to be late, they'll stay there to wait on me for no extra charge. They are very reasonable. If something doesn't go right they'll take it back and do it again for no charge. The cost depends on what the issue is. It was a refurbished computer and it's worked absolutely wonderfully. I found the price to be low.

The main problem was that the printer on our PC had stopped working; it could copy, but wouldn't scan or print. The online diagnostics concluded it was a "connection problem". I'd already bought a new USB printer cable to rule that out as the culprit, but still didn't know if the printer or PC itself was at fault. So I took it to PC Place (where I'd bought the system 3+ years ago) to see what they said. While I had it in, I also asked them to diagnose a problem with my old computer speakers, and a few minor software issues.
I brought it in about 4:00 pm on Thursday, and didn't expoect to get it back till Monday. But Charles called me Friday morning, and said it was ready for me to pick up, which I did that afternoon. He concluded that the USB connector in the printer was no good; he'd hooked it up to two other PCs in their shop, and they both gave the same error message I was getting whenever I tried to print. His advice was to just buy a new printer, as it would cost even more to try and repair the old one (which they don't do).
He also managed to improve the sound from my old speakers by not using the USB cable supplied with them. They definitely don't work as well as they did when I originally hooked them up to this PC, but it was an 80% improvement over how they sounded when I brought it in. The cable in question was USB v.1, not the newer v. 2. My suspicion is that one of the Windows XP security updates implemented changes that are not backward compatible with USB v. 1. The cable is hardwired into the subwoofer, so I'll just live with it until we get a new system, at which time I'll get new speakers as well.
He also fixed a problem we were having with the spell checker, did a quick tuneup, and installed an additional (free) anti-malware program they recommend that I hadn't known about. I hadn't expected to get my system back that quickly, and the price seemed fair to me. Everyone in the shop that I have dealt with has been very friendly and helpful, and they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
