His pricing is reasonable and he cares about the safety of the furnace and of the home residence. He doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. I will highly recommend him.

I have used Gary Hobbs for about 20 years, and wouldn't have anyone else for plumbing, both routine and emergency! He regularly does my spring and fall ac/heater exchanges, and over the years has installed a new water heater, which had sprung a leak in my garage, repaired bath faucets, replaced a sink and counter in the big bathroom, and just last year he replaced my ancient a/c with a Mastercool. His rates are very fair, and he does a thorough, clean job. He usually brings along one helper, but it is his individual business.

I had been told by a plumber from a large, reputable company in Albuquerque that I would need a new toilet, a new faucet and handles, besides needing to replace the whole hand-held shower from the wall.  I was also talked into getting a new hot water heater. The bill would have been close to $2,000, which I couldn't afford but figured I'd have to come up with.  So I went to look for a new faucet, even though I loved my existing one, a beautiful piece of worksmanship that had taken me a long time to find when I remodeled my bathroom 3 decades ago.  When a helpful man at Lowe's who seemed to know lots about plumbing seemed surprised that the first plumber would diagnose the toilet as irreparable without even taking the top off the back to look inside it (which made me feel sort of gullible to realize that I would simply take his word for it that the problem was "calcium buildup" and I needed a new one), I decided to get a second opinion and called Gary Hobbs, whose card had been given to me by a friend some years back.
Gary answered the phone right away, even though he was in the middle of a job, and when he heard my story he assured me that I probably didn't need a new toilet and he could likely fix the faucet.  He came as soon as I could find the time in my schedule; and he did an amazing job.  He showed me the broken piece in the toilet, showed me how he would take apart the faucet handle, and showed me that he could replace just the end of the shower head rather than the whole hose and all the fittings. He explained why I didn't need a hot water heater.  He purchased the needed parts on his own, came back and installed them, and then carefully worked on the faucet handle until he got it to "unfreeze" and start being able to be turned again. Rather than wrenching it off and risk scratching it, he figured out how to work with it without taking the whole thing apart, which suggested to me that he really does have a knack for plumbing.  Now everything works perfectly, and I didn't have to fill up the landfill with a perfectly operational Kohler toilet or fairly new water that works just fine.  It's clear from the way he explained things to me that he really knows what's he's doing where plumbing is concerned.
Throughout, Gary was extremely nice and polite and respectful of my house and belongings.  He is a great guy and an excellent plumber.  I'll call him again from now on, and I'd recommend him to anyone with any kind of plumbing need.  He won't take advantage of you, or convince you you need things that you don't need. This kind of honesty is a rare thing in today's world, and I really commend him for it.
I have nothing but high praise for Gary Hobbs!

Had Gary install a Master Cool air conditioner last year and he did a great job.  He also repaired an under slab water leak I had, so I thought of him first when our water heater started going south.
He's quick, thorough and more than fair on his charges, way cheaper than TLC.  It's a pleasure to work with such a nice guy and he's been a plumber for like 30 years.  Great find, will use him again.

I have used them for a long time now. The plumber is licensed. It is a good outfit. He has been very busy. Everything works when he does something. He is a very nice fellow. He is a hard worker. He will come when you really need him. That is how I found him. He will also work with you. He is not there to try and get a lot of money from you. He comes here, does the work and it is well done. It is not like you are dealing with a company. What you see is what you get. Gary is there and he works there. You can talk to him and he is good. I would use his services in the future too.

I called with concerns regarding our radiant floor heat. It wasn't heating one section of the house. He responded quickly - within a day. He came out and fixed the problem for a reasonable amount. Great guy.

I like that he does good work and he is honest. He wasn't able to fix the gas leak, so he refused to take money for that part of the job, even though he had done work to identify and fix the issue. He referred a specialist that was able to resolve the problem completely.
