Had to be towed to this place due to AAA's 3 mile limit. Was told it would be several days before car would be worked on so I rented a car for a week. Car was actually looked at the first following working day. Was told that both the alternator and battery were dead and needed replacement. When I told my co-worker that this guy was going to charge me over $200.00 for a battery, they said something stunk. When I called back to cancel the battery replacement, the service manager made me feel dumb and said that they had tested the battery and that it was completely dead, so I relented. Did NOT feel good about it. The following day the car was ready, so I picked it up and paid over 800 dollars, which I can't afford being partially disabled. Requested the old parts, but only got the battery back since they wanted a $72.00 core charge for the alternator. Since this would boost the price to almost $900, I declined, (which was a major mistake). Several people balked when I told them what I paid and I looked up my old receipts and remembered that the same work had been done in July of 2013! So I took my original battery and had it tested at the place of purchase and got a printout saying it was good. Left it with my regular, (and honest), mechanic to test it for a and quot;second and independentand quot; opinion. He also confirmed that the battery was good. I spoke to the mechanic, (different, but still honest), who had replaced the alternator last year and he said the alternator would still be under warranty. He was shocked about how much Flash charged me as well. The next day I decided I would try and get my money back the for the battery and pay the core charge for my original alternator, which was new, so I could get it rebuilt/replaced for any future repairs. Unfortunately the service manager had already sent the alternator out, so it was gone. I was able to get him to put my original battery back in and get a refund for it, the labor, and core charge. Still left me with over $600 charge for work that included a rebuilt alternator. It was over $100.00 cheaper when I had the original NEW alternator put in the year before. This place is run by crooks. The only good things were that they got to my car quickly and they let me stay inside their lobby while I waited for my ride after I broke down. I so hope this alternator works out because I DO NOT want to return there! So in conclusion, I just had a $600 lesson in what NOT to do when I get stranded!

Jerry, Barbie, and the gang were FABULOUS! They helped us find a place to stay overnight while they fixed our rv that had broken down during my daughter and I's 34 day road trip. They got us in right away and repaired the rv in a day and a half so we could get right back on the road. I would give them a 100%.

I have been using Flash Automotive for about the past year and a half on 3 different vehicles that I own. They only do what needs to be done and makes recommendations for future service if needed. One vehicle I took to them was causing me major headaches. I just couldn't get it to run right to pass emissions. After close to a week off and on of trying to diagnose the problem (one caused by a different shop) they traced it to a vaccum line in the wrong place. They called me with the total (I was afraid to hear the price) and it was $29 dollars for the emissions test...which it passed! I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. They are a fair and honest shop.

friend staff, very responsive although I often had to make the calls to them. However, the issue I was having with my car ended with 3 separate trips to address the same problem. Each time, we were expected to pay for the tow. I could see the mechanical problems being a manufacturer error since it seemed that the parts were faulty. What I did not like were the comments by the shop manager when I took my car in for the 3rd time. Several references were made about how he was "out of pocket" several hundred dollars since our guarantee covered us but the shop was left holding the bag for the faulty replacement parts Ford had supplied them. My fiance's response was that it was between Ford and the shop since that's where the faulty parts came from. Experience would have been much better without getting what seemed like a guilt trip for something completely out of our hands.

I had been experiencing strong engine bucking/lurching on an intermittent basis for several weeks. Through self diagnosis, I had added gasoline treatment (thinking problem was water in gas tank). When this did not help, I went to Flash auto and directed them to install new spark plug wires, thinking this was the culprit (as taking the car through an automated car wash made symptoms immediately much worse). Neither of these steps cured the problem. Finally, after being stranded one evening due to the problem, I directed Flash to use their judgement and expertise to find the source of the problem, without preconceived notions. They found a wiring harness with frayed insulation, that was touching exposed metal occasionally, thus shorting out the engine electronics intermittently. The harness was underneath the battery tray, making the problem difficult to locate and identify. A new harness would have cost much more than what they charged me. They were able to repair the existing harness at what I considered a reasonable cost. The car now runs flawlessly. I am extremely happy with the results, and will be less likely to attempt to diagnose myself problems of this nature in the future.

This place looks spotless. They were very clean and the service techs there are very nice and professional. I know that they do all types of cars and I would feel comfortable bringing anything there. They also went over the entire vehicle for me to make sure everything was okay. I think that is standard now days though, so that they can try to sell you more services. I was happy with the list that they presented to me. I don't think that they were listing things that were not true.
