Everything in my dealing with Robbie and his team went exceptionally smooth, except for a "rain delay" due to the sod not being able to be cut. Originally scheduled for August 27th the installation was moved to the 29th. The crew arrived a little after 10AM and did an EXCELLENT job!!!! Took a little over an hour and a half and it looks great. Thank you.

We hired them on 10/07/22. The crew didn't show up at the scheduled time (9:00 am), so I had to call them to ask them what was going on. Robbie said they were running late because they had to pick up something before coming to us (?), but he also said that they would arrive between 9 and 10. The first crew showed up past 10 am. I asked him, "Are you going to do this job all by yourself?" He said, "Another guy will arrive soon (So, he IS LATE.)." I also said, "Are you going to start with the backyard or front yard?" He said, "Doesn't matter. Do you have a mower? Does it work?" I answered "Yes." to both questions. Then, he said, "Alright. Anyway, another crew will bring one in just in case." And he called that another guy to tell him to rent a mower at Lowe's before coming." Why have you NOT been prepared? Then, the mowing crew would arrive even later!! He started the job in the front yard. More than half an hour later, another guy showed up. Believe it or not, this tardy guy was chit-chatting with the first guy next to him without doing anything for 30 - 45 minutes!! Hello! You guys are working by hour?! Finally, both of them got to work around 11:00 am and left for lunch for about 1 hour. At that moment, there was no sign of the mowing crew would show up. They started the backyard a bit without mowing. I said to them, "We have a mower, you can start mowing!" The first guy said, " The second crew will come soon with a mower. We are leaving soon (??)." In 10 - 15 minutes, he knocked on the door and asked me to pay for their job because they didn't know when the second crew would arrive and they didn't know how long it would take for them to take care of the backyard. That was past 3:00 pm. He asked me to pay $539. That price was for a 5-hour job when they worked for only less than 4 hours! I said, "Please send me the invoice. I will pay by credit card." Then, they left. I don't know where the tardy guy threw his cigarette butt (He was smoking when his senior was talking to me.). Anyway, according to the estimate, their quote was $90/hr and the job would take 5 - 7 hours on that day. The first crew had already used those 5 hours and they didn't finish our backyard at all. I asked when the second crew would arrive. The first guy said, "Later. Or tomorrow." Tomorrow is Saturday. They are closed on weekends! I called them right after they left to see how soon the mowing crew would come. No Answer. It was way before their office would be closed. No Call Back at all. On Monday, the 10th, I called their office and talked to the lady. The final price was adjusted, but I was told that the mowing crew couldn't come till Saturday (again they should be closed!). What kind of BS is this? I wanted to get the yard work done before the pest control appointment on Wednesday. Arriving late was a yellow flag. In addition, a tardy guy was MILKING and they were trying to have me pay for their lunch hour. And less than 50% of the promised job was done. I got the first-time customer discount, but that was the first and the last service I ordered from them.

Excellent. I quoted 5 vendors and Empire had the best and most reasonable price. Also they were able to get me on the schedule within a few weeks of quote and did everything they said in a timely way. If you don't do quotes in Albuquerque you will be taken advantage of. These people are reasonable and do a great job!

The yard looks better, it's true, but between the time I accepted the April estimate and today, mid-July, the earliest date they had available, I did a good bit of the work myself, completely removing one of the bushes and whittling the others to less than half their previous size, yet I was held to the full estimate. They also removed a very healthy Russian sage in the corner of the yard instead of the dead rosemary bush stump I'd asked for--so now I have a very bare corner I'll need to replant. Fortunately I did catch them in time to get the stump taken out. I do feel the estimate was fair for the work I wanted done, but I should've had them come out and adjust the estimate prior to the work date--so I'll accept a bit of the responsibility. The workers were nice and seemed to enjoy working together. I'd hoped to establish a connection with a reliable company so that I could have yard work done on a regular schedule, but my feeling is it's not this company. I said I wouldn't rehire them, but that's because there's no maybe option.

Wonderfully! Dave came over, we discussed my ideas, and he sent over two marvelous workers, Luis and Jesus, to begin clearing out the messy existing yard. From start to finish, it took 3 1/2 days to transform my front yard from a scraggly ensemble of worn-out elements, to a clean, attractive area with variety and contrast. I chose three different rock/pebbles, in three different sizes, graduating in size, color and texture, from sidewalk to in front of the healthy juniper hedge at the front of the house. Despite a slight miscommunication regarding the wish for curves, rather than straight lines, Luis and Jesus corrected the lines, working with me, so the result is not totally rectilinear. They were personable, hard-working and collaborative, and went the extra mile: Luis managed to find smaller sized pebbles, in the same color, for the back area rather than the ones offered to me, and removed a large elm crowding evergreens on the edge of my property., as well as the volunteer in the center. They arrived and worked unobtrusively, and left the property in pristine shape. Dave Peltz, the owner, has chosen his staff very well, and lets them get on with it with minimal interference, which facilitated the smooth and swift progress of the work. Any need to consult with him was done by the workers, by phone. The cherry on top, so to speak, is that Empire's bid came in at almost half the amount of quotes from other Angie A-listers! I'm a happy camper and definitely recommend this company and these workmen.

Wonderfully! From beginning to end. The work was scheduled right away and we couldnt have asked for more friendly, considerate and competent workers. From quote to finished yard, we were totally pleased and would highly recommend.

Very good but they did not have the proper tool to cut down tree and had to come back another day. Also, they left an oil stain on the sidewalk from the chainsaw.

It wen well enough. Crew,came out n on Monday and cut out the sod. Nothing happened on Tuesday. Crew came in on Wednesday and finished up with the new red colored rock and barriers. Crew came back on Thursday and completed the drip lines and fixed the set of sprinkler heads that they missed n Wednesday. Finished product looks great and the crew used the good pieces of sod to repair the remaining back yard grassy area. I am considering this company for long term routine maintenance of my yard.

They trimmed numerous trees and shrubs, removed weeds and cacti, cleaned up leaves, tumbleweeds and debris and restored landscaping to nice appearance. Hauled away a huge amount. Work done very quickly. Cleanup very nice and thorough.

They are good! They get working ASAP. I’ve used this company over the years I’d recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job! But there were somethings they didn’t prune like that back sides of the hedges in certain parts of my yard. I would hire them again though I just need to thoroughly check their work before they leave .

David's crew came out to clean yard debris (leaves, twigs, etc.), clean off leaves on the roof, clean out gutters, and do some trimming. They arrived on time and did an excellent job. I've been using Empire Yard maintenance for a number of years and have been very happy with them. They charge $75 an hour. I've also used Empire in the past for landscaping & xeriscaping.

They do a pretty job. Highly recommend. A little pricey

This project, out third with David and his crews, went extremely well. On this project, Luis was the lead man. He worked three days with Isaac and had additional help one day from Aaron. Luis and Isaac came on time every day and worked diligently and steadily throughout the day, despite hot weather and evening rain that made the day work messy. The did not take unnecessary breaks, and when they left to haul away or pickup materials they returned in a timely fashion. Every time we went out to see how things were going, Luis and Isaac were hard at work. Same for Aaron the day he was here. Luis checked with me whenever he wanted to confirm something or ask a question. He shared worthwhile ideas that were incorporated into the project. The flagstone path was meticulously made and beautifully cut and measured, creating an attractive path that is comfortable to walk on. These men worked well together; it was a pleasure to have them working on the property.

They were awesome!! they cleaned the front and back yard. The back yard was a jungle. they trimmed the trees, cut the weeds and hauled away trash and other junk in the yard.

Some confusion about scheduling but when they came they did an excellant job at a very reasonable price.

Great. I have used them for years and they have also done work on my mom's house. They do great work. They show up on time or call if they are delayed. They hit the ground running and are very good at asking what you'd like done. Nice crews, personable and hardworking. No upselling or high pressure marketing. They also provide great input as to what to plant, when, how to care for.... I havdd never had an issue.
