Two hours labor to replace two switches! We hired Eco Electric to remove and replace our A/C and ceiling fan switches and to trouble shoot a ceiling fan. Before you hire them, ask questions! This is what we learned too late. • They always send out two men, “for safety.” We had a senior tech training an apprentice. We could hear him teaching and quizzing this young man, whose job was to remove the ceiling fan switch and replace it under observation, and to observe the tech while he switched out the A/C switch. (The apprentice later played around with the ceiling fan switch while the tech worked on the A/C switch after we had decided to just replace the fan at a later date, and the actual trouble-shooting was done. That was for his benefit, not ours.) Buyers beware: you will be charged for this training. Our bills states “two men @ $125.00 per hour, two hours.” • We were also told that their clock starts as soon as they get the call, as opposed to when they arrive at your home. While the work done seems satisfactory, and they give a senior discount, we believe that it is possible to find a one electrician who could have come and completed this work in one hour or less. We had been interested in an estimate for recessed lighting and replacing a ceiling fan, but we are not willing to pay $250 an hour for labor, and so will not use this company again.

Daniel was contacted on Monday and was extremely flexible in meeting us for the issues we were experiencing with electrical surges in our home. He came out, checked out our electrical panel, tighten loose leads, came into the house and tested several of the outlets on the troublesome circuit. He determined one of the outlets was improperly installed with reversed wiring. He fixed the outlet. He suggested a homeline panel surge protector to reduce the likelihood of serious damage to our equipment, given all the power issues our neighborhood has been experiencing as of late. Once the surge protector was installed, he again checked the outlets for sustained power flow, explained in detail what he did and why he did it and made suggestions on preventing further surges. All in all, it was an extremely pleasant experience...Daniel was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and treated us with utmost respect. We will definitely contact him for other electrical issues and projects.
