Good at first (the AC units and water heater are nice). But after we finally got a rain here in town we found out that the roof has a leak around the old swamp cooler ducts. Duke city says they are not responsible for the roof, but because of the new AC units we can't get the roof fixed without removing the new AC units. In order to fix our roof we have to pay Duke city to come back and disconnect everything and crane the units off the roof so a roofer can fix it. In talking to several roofing companies they all said it is standard for a swamp-AC conversion to have a roofer redo the joints as part of the conversion. If we had done that it would have saved us a lot of money and trouble.

I have used this small company for several years. The owners have always before done the work. This year, a young man turned up instead. When questioned, he said he had been working for them for three months, and that he had been trained by them.He told me the water lines should be replaced. I had never had this suggested before. He said, and quot;we have a lot of trouble with them and recommend they be replaced each year. and quot; He was unable to tell me what the cost would be; he said that is all done back at the office. I said I had always been given a senior discount. He said he did not know anything about that. The work was adequate, but I was left with a strange feeling and did not like not being given an invoice, or a call from the office to explain charges. Instead, 3 weeks later I received the invoice : I looked at last years invoices: which was $77. This year I was charged $149.53.I was left with the sense that the owners had turned over the work to workers and were no longer involved in the business. It felt to me as if the prices had to be raised in order to pay the worker plus the owner. Very poor way to run a company. I will not use them nor recommend them again.

They were great, showed up on time, did the work quickly. At my daughters house, the plug to the pump had come out and we called the next morning to say it didn't seem to be cooling properly. They came back the next day and plugged it in and were completely honest about what had happened - not saying it was something bigger and trying to charge for something she didn't need. No charge for the second visit. Will use them again.

Mike and his assistant Dave performed excellent work. Pro: 1) The bid was clearly written with a description of the project and materials, and typed on company letterhead. The work performed matched the bid perfectly. The bid price was quite reasonable. 2) All parts of the process were performed with exemplary professionalism. The work was completed in a timely manner. 3) A concise and clear explanation for the use and safety with the newly installed electrical components were given. Advise for concerns related to upcoming stucco work and the electrical conduit was highly appreciated. Con: None. Summary: Thank you. This is how contracting should be.
