In the course of performing routine maintenance, the technician found a problem in the brake system. He consulted with me before going further, and got my permission. The brakes are working much better now, and I have confidence in taking my car on longer road trips.

I tried Don's because I had lost confidence in the dealership service for my truck and I wanted an alternative. They promptly diagnosed the issue and gave me a realistic overview of the repair options.

I originally went to Don's because one of our vehicles seemed to be losing oil.  The location was convenient, we were looking for someplace new and they had a coupon.  We were told they couldn't find any sign of active leaking and to bring it back in a couple days and they would look again.  They didn't charge me and the problem went away.  When the vehicle needed a once over, a tune-up and some repairs we took it back.  Don was totally honest with us about what was, and wasn't worth fixing on an old car with almost 200,000 miles.  They did find a seal leaking slightly, but Don told us he wouldn't fix that if it were his personal vehicle.  It just wasn't worth the cost.  We had the other work done and asked them to look at a problem with the cruise control (that one of the big chain service centers said they couldn't fix) while they were at it.  Don's fixed the cruise control, no problem. More recently, a different vehicle began having issues starting.  We took it to Don's and after they checked it, they sent us to the dealer for what would turn out to be a just-issued recall.  Again, we weren't charged for the diagnostic.  We feel like we've finally found a mechanic shop we can trust and depend on.

The final billed price was exactly the same as the estimate, which was about $200 less than the Toyota dealer estimated.  The work was done promptly.  I took my vehicle in at 7:15 a.m. and it was ready by early afternoon.  The bill included a 10%  AAA discount.  I was treated well and the staff was both friendly and professional.  I will recommend this shop to all friends and family and will definitely use them again.  Great job done by honest and professional people.

They were very good. I had no complaints at all. They're very professional. He was recommended to me. He's been doing this for 44 years. I like the way they greet you, the cleanliness and the seriousness of the business and that's why he's all around the top, I think. He's honest too. I only went there once but I also have a pickup truck that I will probably bring to him instead of going to the dealership next time 'cause I have something that needs to be done on it. People who I read some of their reviews said that he's a little bit more expensive than other people but I guess when you get quality work, you're willing to pay a few dollars more. He just fixed what had to be fixed and he gave me my 10% off even if I mentioned to him afterwards so he rewrote the invoice. I was very happy. The price is reasonable. I don't have any problems. It looks great. Punctuality is very good.

They came and picked me up and when we got to the shop I was questioned about the nature and extent of the service I was looking for.
I was taken back to my residence by a mechanic (Cliff).
Later I was given a call with a description of newly discovered issues, along with an estimate of the costs.  I approved the estimate.
I was given a call by Cliff informing me that the vehicle was ready, and was promptly picked up.
The experience was simple, the work was done thoroughly and the vehicle runs like new.
I had contacted Don's in regards to an issue with a previous vehicle and they were very helpful, and even though they could not do the work I had requested they had taken the time to call around town to see who could perform the work.  This is why I took the current vehicle to them.  Nonetheless, to say I will recommend Don's to anyone looking for a fair, thorough and honest mechanic.

Everything has been working well since. Everyone I dealt with at Don's Auto was quite nice and always completely professional.

Tune up and charcoal mechanism replacement

It went really well.  Don and his staff fixed all the problems in a timely manner.  They are always real good at explaining what they are doing and what needs to be done.

He is a great mechanic.  His price is a little high, but definitely worth it when it comes to the car.  He and all his mechanics are very friendly.  They are always very punctual.  The work gets done on the day that they say it would be done.

Great work. Fast response. Honest. Reliable.  I would recommend Dons to everyone. This will be my mechanic whenever possible.
