They were on time and did the work as promised.  They ran into a problem with an electrical line running through the skylight space so it took an extra day, but they called their electrician who came out first thing the next morning, rerouted the line, and work was finished that day.  They were tidy, covered the floor with tarps (I had covered the furniture) and cleaned up after themselves. David or his office maintained contact by phone regarding scheduling, preparation, and arrival times.  Everyone was very pleasant and easy to work with.  I love my new skylights and would definitely hire them again.

Contractor discovered need for additional repair to frame structure in den and replaced/repaired at reasonable cost.  Would have preferred that contractor cover areas under where painting occurred.  That was probably a lack of clarity or communication on both of our parts.  Two small paint drippings on set of mesh blinds were the only problem.  Email communication not as responsive as I would have liked but overall, I'd use this contractor again because of honesty, quality and speed with which work was handled.  Selected contractor after talking with about 3-4 others and the others sounded more like salespersons than workers who knew what had to be done.

The job went excellent, no surprises and no feeling of ' I just got taken' when complete.

We had him over to show him what needed fixing and he prepared a written estimate which we approved and paid half down. He came on the date and time we prearranged and completed the work in two days. Everrything was done as promised.

    The wall had been opened to remove old washer hookup and reposition new water valve box because of height of new washer.
    Under Mr. Ferry's guidance the trainee removed the unnecessary old wallboard, cut and fit new, installed backup 2x4 studding for a base for the new wallboard, installed, taped, floated and textured finish to match existing pattern.

The quote was done quickly and was not exceeded.  It was comparable to other quotes.  The work was scheduled, but had to be moved.  However, this ensured it could be done without an extended inconvenience so it was better for the start date being moved.   The jobs was done quickly as possible, but without sacrificing quality.

David Ferry had built a skylight and rebuilt a deck for us a few years ago.  He did a great job--excellent, punctual work and a great bid.  This summer, he and his crew returned, to do a bathroom remodel, install several tile floors and various house repairs.  Once again, they did a wonderful job.  The quality of work was excellent.  He contracted out the plumbing and tile work, and both were done to our satisfaction and with a minimum of fuss.It was always a pleasure dealing with Amanda, his wife/office manager, who makes sure everything is on schedule.  I would gladly work with him any time.

He has worked for us before. He did a perfectly fine job. The price was exactly what he quoted us for. He fixed a lock on my bedroom door as well. I thought that was nice of him to do that extra work for us.

Very smoothly. Arrived as scheduled. Work performed professionally. Cleaned up well.

Work was accomplished quickly and professionally. New drywall was installed on day 1. Returned day 2 to texture and finish. Very professional job. Good clean up.

They were willing to work with my other contractor so that I could get the job done. I think they are very reasonable.

David and his son worked quickly and did a great job. I had contemplated doing the work myself, but am really glad I hired people who knew how to do it right and fast. There was a shaft already, due to an evaporative cooler that I had removed. They reconstructed the sheet metal on the roof to accommodate the skylight. They then installed the skylight and installed and finished drywall in the shaft. David did a good job repairing some minor water damage on the ceiling caused by leaks from the evaporative cooler. He also blended the texture inside the shaft to match the texture on the ceiling. Lastly, they painted the shaft and repaired areas.

This is the best contractor I've ever dealt with. The owner did both the estimate and the actual work (with his son helping). Not only was the price competitive, the work was completed in a day, and the results were flawless. The skylights have held up beautifully for the last two years. David was extremely professional and helpful, and even volunteered to re-texture and paint another part of the kitchen ceiling that had been damaged by a previous lighting system.
