Custom Cabinets & Doors

Nightmare. Destroyed brand new unfinished kitchen cabinets. Gave money for drawer and closet material. Never saw any of it. Lied. Never answered or returned calls. Never showed up when he said he would. Stay as far away from him and his so called business 'custom cabinets and doors' as you can. He had a kitchen cabinets for over 1 month and when he returned with them they were completely marked up, rough to touch, unfinished in places, over sprayed the cabinets and essentially nothing close to the sample he showed us and told us they would look like. It looked like they were only sprayed once maybe twice with primer as it left a white residue on touching it. We told him we were not happy and his response was 'what you do not like?'. Ehhh no! So he took them back and had them for another 5 wks. During that time he did not answer his phone, return calls or show up to work. On a Friday he may answer the phone and he gave the lie of his wife having liver surgery and being in hospital. He then showed up one Sunday with some of our cabinet doors in even worse state. Nothing done to them except more marks and dirt(supposed to be finished in white) due to sitting somewhere god knows where for weeks. As we were not living in the remodel at the time I just happened to check in as he was leaving the house. He said he was coming back with the rest of the doors & going to finish the closet, made an excuse again of his wife having another surgery this time in Huston TX! He did not return that day. My husband & I looked at the 'redo' work he did on our kitchen that Sunday and it was gut wrenching. The paint color on cabinets and doers and molding were all different. They had drilled many times into the cabinets in an effort to try hang them. Ruined. And the door and drawer faces are a total mess. He showed up the next day and we called him out. He got extremely defensive, tried to walk out with at least 8/10 of our cabinet doors still in his truck-thrown on the seats and floors. We asked for our money and the rest of of items-closet and drawers . He said 'I go get them'. Obviously he hadn't even started on them. We told him to leave and are now pursuing it legally. Our cabinets are destroyed. They will need to be stripped to start over costing is an additional $6000. At this stage it will be cheaper to buy all new finished cabinet doors. STAY AWAY FROM JUAN RODRIGUEZ AND HIS BUSINESS NAME 'CUSTOM CABINETS AND DOORS'.
