Chris' Garage Doors

I called Chris at 9am and he was already on a job, but promised to come within 3 hours same day. He not only showed up within that timeframe, but he and his assistant replaced two broken and badly-worn springs on a 14 yr old double garage door opener for a total charge of $188. Done and gone in 30 minutes! Highly recommend.

Great company to work with! Chris did the estimate himself, then showed up with his crew to install the garage door. Came right on time, worked fast, and a pleasant guy all-around. Gave good advice before starting the job, Checked out existing components and made the decision which to keep--saved me quite a bit of money. Good communication, fast response time and totally trustworthy. I recommend him highly.

Chris was prompt, quick and very professional. He explained what was broken with the old unit, and then replaced it very quickly. He explained what he had done as well as provided a rundown of how the new unit operates. All in all it was a smooth, quick and satisfying experience.

Chris showed up exactly on time, finished the job very quickly and tried the door before he left. I am very satisfied with this provider. Chris is cheerful, professional and knowledgeable. He explained what needed to be done, and then explained the fix so that I would understand. He works very fast and responds to your call very quickly as well. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about him or his services! It was a pleasure to have someone do their work so enthusiastically and so cheerfully. You would not be sorry to call this business.

Chris removed the broken spring and installed installed a new spring in about 30 minutes. After the installation Chris checked the operation of the door and the newly installed spring. The door worked perfectly.

Job was completed within two hours of original call. Chris took the time to explain information to my husband, very professional.

He serviced my garage door problems efficiently and effectively. He's got a fair price, a positive attitude and had no problem with me watching him do his work. I always like to know how things work and how problems are solved. Thanks Chris for letting that happen. If I have trouble with my garage again, I'll take a look at it and if I can't fix it, then I'll call Chris right away! A very good experience. Chris is very good at what he does! He was very friendly and explained things clearly. Thr whole thing took about 40 minutes andmy garage door worked perfectly. He even showed me why the old item broke and how I can malt the new one last longer. He will the guy I use for any future garage door issues. He's a self made man!

Installation was good and timely, had some problem getting the cars to accept the new programming and had to install a wifi adapter. Chris purchase this part himself and did not charge for it, he also call several time to follow up as it appears to be a issue with the ford vehicle rather than the the garage door opener.

Came home from vacation and tried to use garage door and the springs broke, called Chris and he made an appointment with me the next day. Chris arrived at the time he said he would be there, he worked on the door and fixed it in no time flat. Chris was very professional and explained everything to me. I will definitely use his company in the future for all my garage door needs.

I called after hours, someone called me back very soon, that person told me that he was on a job and he was not sure when he will be done, but that he will call me back in the next 30 minutes. After one hour I called him back as he never called me back, at that time he told me that he was sorry but he will be at my place in the next 30 minutes, which he did. However it was not Chris Garage Door but Guitterez Garage doors who came. The job was done pretty fast, I have one full year warranty, the interesting part that company was the original company which installed my garage door. Very happy with the job done.

I called Chris at about 8 am about a garage door that wouldn't open or shut, got his answering machine and he called right back, made an appointment to come out within 2 hours, was prompt and called when he was on his way. Once here, he got the springs replaced in about 15 minutes. Very professional and I would use him again.

I like the fact that he was prompt. When he gave a price that was what it was. I was very pleased with what he did. I thought his price was reasonable. When he gave me the price I checked around and he was the lower price and the same warranty was on them.

I have used him now twice and both times he was superb. He came right away. He did not do any repairs that were not necessary. He is extremely resonable.

Saw his sign on a pickup in a neighborhood driveway a couple of months ago and took a cellphone picture of the name, phone, and contractor license number --just in case. So, wouldn't you know? I came home last week and my automatic garage door would lift no more than 2 feet. I pulled the release lever and the door dropped like a 500 pound rock. I couldn’t budge it. I googled Chris's Garage Doors. I found ~12 reviews on DexKnows--favorable; searched Angie's list (one review--positive). I confirmed the guy's contractor's license was current on the NM Public Regulation Commission website and thought, why not give him a try? I called, Chris answered. I explained. He suspected 2 broken springs. He was right. He uses an upgraded beefier replacement kit, he can bring both a one and a two-spring kit, both under $200, takes 20-30 min to install. Can he do it today? Yes, no problem. Unlike most servicemen, Chris, as we requested, called 20-30 minutes before his scheduled arrival to confirm he was on time AND to allow my wife to leave work and get home to secure the dog. Chris provided a show and tell explanation as he worked. At no additional charge, he re-positioned the automatic door opener J-hook; moved a bolt to better re-align one of the door rails; lubed all the roller wheels; and explained how we can/should do this ourselves 2x per year. Installation, upgrades, and explanations all completed in under 45 minutes--and under $190. Courteous, professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and affordable. Far better than our experience with another company last year. See my other reviews. We will definitely use Chris again. We have given away all of the business cards he left for us. Good thing he taped one to the wall by the garage door opener!

Just to show the kind of detail and creativity Chris uses in everything he does, I asked him for some of his business cards to pass out. He neatly stapled one above my garage opener, then inserted a fan of 6 more into the pocket of his card. He is a delight to deal with.
