CertaPro Painters of Albuquerque

Here in the high desert climate of New Mexico, ultra-violet damage from our extreme sunlight quickly damages unprotected surfaces.  A couple of years ago my wife and I built a kit gazebo.  This spring it needed a new coat of UV preservative.  As we're now both in our 70's we decided to have it done rather than do it ourselves.  We called CertaPro Painters based on its record here on Angie's list.  We are 110% satisfied.  Perfect paint (stain, actually) job, absolutely no mess, no spills, no runs -- just two coats of the UV protectant stain that the owner recommended.
The owner was perfectly on time.  The estimate was fair and fully detailed.  The painters were perfectly on time and worked non-stop, finishing a bit ahead of schedule.  The painters asked us to inspect their work before they left -- and they handed us the left-over stain rather than taking it with them.  It'll be great to have the extra stain in case the gazebo suffers any gouges or other damage.
We will certainly be using CertaPro Painters again!!

Very punctual, friendly, and professional. I believe that if the crew worked a little slower and rechecked their work there would have been no reason to have a call back. However, there was no problem in having them return and correct the problems that I discovered. The initial contact was friendly and soon after leaving a message to have them contact me. The process of going through a national call center to call back the local office does have a few quirks and required me on a few occasions to place another call. Also, I had to do some cleaning up after the crew left.

Carl came out right away to give me an estimate.  He worked us in that week.  Gabe and Steven the two painters were excellent.  They worked quickly and efficiently.  They were polite, likeable, and professional.  Any requests I had they did the work immediately.  We are very happy at how nice the house looks.

Workers arrived punctually.  They were courteous and professional.  The owner stopped by to check on work more than once.  Cleanup was excellent.  We were very pleased with the result and the overall experience.

This is the second time I have hired CertaPro painters. In September, 2009 they stained the railings, primary joists and facing board on my new deck. I was very impressed with the quality of the work. The stain on the deck matched the existing painted trim on the house perfectly! Three years later it still looks great. In April, 2012 I hired CertaPro to paint the facia board, soffit and window trim on the second story of my house. Again the job was started on the agreed date and completed to my satisfaction. They were professional and courteous. The workers made sure I was pleased with the job before they left. Everything was cleaned up and our house looked great. Carl Cockrum, the owner, called a few days later to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I will definitely hire them again in the future.

They came at 7-30 am. every morning set up and started.  They 2 young men that were working on our home were very frindly and would ask us to come and look at the work performed to see if it was up to our liking.  I was very pleased that they cleaned up after each day including garbage, so there was no work for us concerning this paint job.  They informed us that we had not contracted for the eaves to be painted and called their supervisor and changed the original contract and handled all matters with great professionalism.  we were as previously stated very pleased with the work from CertiPro.

The employees of Certapro did a wonderful job. Our house looks like new and we are very happy with  the results. Junior's crew acted professionally from start to finish.

Pretty good, we had some issues with wind at the beginning and rain at the end but overall we are very happy with the result.

CertaPro Painters of Albuquerque gave me a reasonable price and they showed up on time. They finished the job quickly and were very neat. They did a good job but the only thing was, I had requested for odorless paint and there was a strong odor even after a month of painting. I am not sure if it was because of the paint or the spackle.

1. They matched the color we wanted perfectly. The house looked beautiful.
2. However, at times, they were sloppy, and paint got on several areas.
3. When we asked them to clean it off, they power washed our colored concrete and changed the color.
4. The solvent they used on our front gate took off some of the paint.
5. The solvent used on the garage doors made the doors have different color spots.
6. A few windows were left dirtier by solvent rags being used to wash them.
7. Solvent used on patio chairs discolored them.

They tried to fix the concrete, but could not make return it to the original color. They may have felt we were too particular, but tried to address many of our issues. To settle the concrete damage, they agreed to restain two exterior doors. These doors faded after less than 6 months. The other areas were not addressed, and we paid another painter to repaint the gate, and restain the doors. We asked them for estimates for some interior work, and they didn't respond. We have used otter painters successfully since then.

Update: Kathy from Certa-pro saw the review and called to see if there was anything that could be done to fix any of the remaining issues. I explained to her what had happened, and what issues remained. She said the employees who did our job were no longer with the company. She said she would follow up with Carl, the owner, to see what could be done. It's been about 10 days, and no one has called back. That says it all.

Carl was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote and brought a binder of pictures and literature to explain the procedure in detail.  The quote he gave was exactly what was charged and he worked with me when I needed to extend the deadline of the discount in order to have my roof work done before his crew started.  His crew was prompt and very courteous.  My only suggestion is that everything needs to be in wriing as I'm not sure that the color that I ended up with is actually the color that I chose.  The work is beautiful though and considering I had major stucco repairs that were needed, I am very happy with the results.

They were on time, very professional and reasonably priced. Would use them again without hesitation.

They finished up yesterday and they did an excellent job. They gave me the best price, came out when they said would and they were absolutely perfect in everything they did. We got brand new windows and we asked them not to get stucco on them. They didn't get a drop on anything.

They are excellent.

My house looks very nice.  I like the way they work very much.  The people are very nice and it wasn’t expensive either.  It was very reasonably priced.  So far everything is fine but I haven’t waited yet to see if it cracks or if anything else happens.

My wife and I are completely satisfied with the work performed by CertaPro Painters. We recommend them without reservation.

They gave me a good estimate and did a good job too. They told me if they had to make any changes with the paint as far as what was available. They cleaned up after themselves. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

They were amazing. They was a crew of 2 and they were punctual and they continually asked to make sure they were doing things right and they were meticulous. They cleaned up at the end of the day and there was not any paint splatter left when they were done. I would highly recommend them.

THEY DID A REALLY LOUSY JOB. THEY TOOK TOO LONG TO GIVE ME A BID, AND DID NOT ACTUALLY GET STARTED UNTIL 3 MONTHS AFTER I FIRST CALLED THEM. I EVEN HAD TO FIX SOME MISTAKES THEY MADE.
