Carl was great as always and even though he could not fix the problem because he doesn’t do engine work he referred me to a shop that does and called later to follow up to see how it went.

I will go here for as long as they do business. I was so impressed with the level of helpfulness, professionalism, prompt work and over all kindness. Carl and his wife run a comfortable shop where you dont feel intimidated or pushed into anything and Carl will give you all your options- not just the one that is best for him.
A fun note is that they also have a train shop in the building so if you love trains, go check it out.

Carl is great. We have taken all of our older cars to him for repairs. He is extremely trustworthy and knows how to get an older car back on the road without costing the customer an arm and leg. He works there in the office as does his wife, who is also extremely friendly. When we go there I always feel like I am visiting a family friend. They have won business awards for their company in the past, I have seem them in the newspaper. They also have a small train store in the building, which is really cool. I forget which scale it is but I believe it is HO. When my wife's family comes to visit us from Alabama we always take the Dad to see what he has for sale. I highly recommend Cataline's for all of your auto repair needs.

I have been a customer for about 13 years of Cataline Automotive. I recently was looking to buy a used minivan. I had them perform their and quot;used car evaluationand quot; on a Toyota that I was interested in and decided not to go ahead based on their findings. A couple months later they checked out a Honda for me and it nailed the deal--I just had one brake light and a windshield wiper to replace on a 2001 Odyssey--it gave me peace of mind. I also use this same service to check out my vehicles before long trips.

It's a one shop office and they don't have branches. He has been wonderful. He does everything as far as cars go. He does not rebuild engines and he does not rebuild transmissions. Other than that he is a complete auto shop for cars. Their prices are good. He is very good about schedules. I have not done any towing out of this shop but he has that capability. I can't find a more honest and professional person than he is. I will absolutely continue to use him.

I learned early in my life that the biggest quality that I needed in an auto mechanic (in addition to being competent) was to be honest! This is important because many times they will find things that need to be fixed that you are unaware of and you need someone that can tell you how important the repair is and whether it is really needed. I may take my cars somewhere else convenient for an oil change or tires or something, but for any repair or diagnostic I always go to Carl Cataline. When I first told people I was looking for a mechanic and that the priority was honesty, he was recommended to me. Carl is a "boy scout" (literally--he has been involved in Scouting for decades and has been awarded the Silver Beaver award) and has a strong sense of personal integrity. His prices are reasonable and in line with other mechanics (it seems that everything now-a-days is rather expensive). I can sleep at night because if Carl says something is important, then I know it is true and don't constantly have to second guess whether they are just fixing something that might wait another year. He has a service for people looking to buy a used car that will evaluate them from bumper to bumper that I also use to check my vehicles before taking youth groups long distances. I am VERY satisfied.

They provided a very competitive quote and performed the work as promised and on time. I found them to be a good honest local company.

They did a good job. It was an older car and they changed some of the electrical wiring in the car also. I would use them again in the future.

It went really, really well. My brakes were making a metal on metal sound, so I called them. I thought it would be very expensive. They called me a couple hours later and told me the breaks just needed to be cleaned. They are extremly honest and professional.

This is a very friendly and professional family operated, independent garage. Carl is an excellent diagnostician and gets work done right the first time. He has always gets my cars in immediately when they're not working. If there are any delays, or unexpected things arise, he always calls first. Sometimes, the job has cost somewhat higher than the estimate, but that's usually due to unexpected price increases on parts or unexpected extra labor.
