Cody loves it. Is very excited to go and is tired after dinner. I love that while I’m gone all day he’s interacting with other dogs.

We have used Camp Bow Wow often for both day care and boarding. We really like the fact that the dogs are allowed to mix and not just kept in cages. Our dog loves it! They are a tad expensive, but worth it, and they are VERY thorough. Our dog has skin allergies, and her meds are constantly changing. Our her last visit, I had given them a med that disagreed with the one on her written instructions, and they noted that immediately and called to check on it. We really appreciate this kind of attention to our dog's care.

They offer supplies and grooming services. When they first started, it was like taking your pet to a neighbor. They did dog training and answered all kinds of questions with whatever your pet concerns were. I buy my dog’s food from them and their pricing is very reasonable.

I did not spend for anything last November, they refunded our money because we had a problem there. We had used them one time before and we had a great experience but the second time we used them we were out of town on the other side of the country and to make the long story short, our dog got injured while at the camp. It was not our dog’s fault and Bow Wow would not agree with us on the cause. We believe there was another dog that attacked her but they started making assumptions that it was like our dog that has done something to herself. I don’t know exactly what it was and so eventually we ended up having to pay several hundred of dollars for surgery on her front leg muscle. Bow Wow did not provide for anything other than for the weekend stay. I think they gave us a gift certificate that we could use if we go back. But we never plan on going back. I know other people who have used them too and they have a great experience. We think that what happened to our dog is a pretty isolated thing. I mean you cannot control every single dog at every single second. But it was kind of odd the way they handled it. I would have expected that they informed us and that they should have brought her to an emergency with my permission or whatever they could have done to have taken care of it and we could have probably paid for it. Instead, they called us to pick her up and the reason she was there was because we were out of town. We had to call somebody to take of her. It was not the most fun of the experience but that was it.

It’s so hard to rate because of the unpleasant we had but the other times they were great.

My dog use to love to go to Camp Bow Wow, she couldn't wait to go back and play with the dogs. This last time we took her in

she about pulled her collar off trying not to go? We left her there for about a week. Every time we went in to watch her, there was

about 15 to 20 dogs in one area. Before the last time there was only a max of 10 or 12. It was like the owner wanted to make more money, so he was taking twice as many dogs. Too many dogs, they couldn't even play. My dog couldn't wait

to get out of there. Use to be a great place, but no more. Just look on line how many dogs and only one person to watch them all.

It went great. My puppy really enjoyed herself and all the employees were very friendly, caring and professional. The place of business is very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend them to anybody wanting a safe, friendly and quality day care or overnight boarding.

Had some problems with reservation and a reservation conflict with a friend of the owner. Once that was taken care of everything went smoothly.

Camp Bow Wow is awesome! The first time I called them, I felt great about them even from just talking to them on the phone! They have a camper "interview" with all their campers before they are allowed to go to daycare or be boarded. I thought this was great, because if they do it for my dog to be sure she is safe and doesn't have any behavior/aggression problems, that means they do it for all the other dogs there as well. So, I know my dog will be safe from dog fights or other aggressive dogs while she is there. After filling out an application about my dog, she was let into the play area with other dogs her size for about 4 hours - just to see how she would do with others. She LOVED it! And the counselors (staff) fell in love with her and she fell in love with them!
I have boarded her there several times and have used the doggy daycare as well. She is always eager to go to the back and play when I drop her off and she is always very happy (and very tired) when I pick her up! The counselors know her by name and always give me a quick run down on how she did when I pick her up.
I live in the East Mountains and I work nights. There was one night when I woke up to go to work and it had snowed so much that I wasn't sure I'd be able to get home the next morning. Camp Bow Wow took my dog last minute and boarded her for a few nights while I worked. They have been a life/dog saver a few times when I've called them last minute! Because my lab is still young and very active, I will occasionally drop her off to play while I shop/run errands in ABQ and then I will pick her up on my way home.
The prices are fair, I wish it wasn't so expensive to board her there but I guess for the quality of the service, you really are getting your money's worth.

It went super well! Hank loved it! And I got a kick out of watching him and his new friends in the
indoor play area on the Camper Cam! The hours available for drop-off and pick-up make it easy to
leave and retrieve your pet. No more rushing and extra cost to make or miss a deadline. The employees
really enjoy the boarders and give them the attention needed while away from home. The shared play areas are
cleaned and sanitized. Vaccines prior to stay are required. An "interview", prior visit of 4 hours, to the facility
is required to assure that the pet will be happy in the environment before boarding. Good idea!
He was a happy camper after the interview and also after his stay! It's such a relief to me to know that I
now have a place where I can leave my "Best Friend" and find him happy and relaxed when it's time to go home!

We have a large dog and a small dog, so during social time, they got to be with animals their own size. Also, they have cameras so you can check out your dog from the iPhone app.

Great! We would use the service more often but the cost keeps us from doing so more often. They are competitively priced, but we are a bit short on cash these days...

Awesome! I have taken my dog Angel there several times for as short as a day to as long as a week in their boarding facilities. I can't say enough good about this place. The first time I went they made me feel very comfortable by taking me on a tour of the place, showing me all the lengths they go to in order to make sure my dog is safe, healthy and having fun. During daycare they sort the dogs into multiple groups, from the very active to the smaller dogs and they even have an area for the old ones. The active dogs have both indoor and outdoors play areas, with a kiddie pool in the summer. All activity is supervised at all times. For boarding dogs they go to a great extent to make sure your dog is taken care of. They encourage bringing your own food, have no problem with odd feeding schedules. Feel free to bring treats and toys for your dog when it is alone too. They keep meticulous records of how they did feed your dog and how well it ate and such, and if it isn't eating well they will add a bit of something to encourage them following their diet. Your dogs first visit will be an evaluation in which their temperament will be tested to make sure they can be accommodated with the other dogs, this visit is free, but must be scheduled. All play areas are covered by webcams which you can watch all the time. The thing I'm most impressed with though is their obvious love of the dogs and what they do. I had brought my dog there once for a week while I was out of town and hadn't been there for a couple months. I went to the "Doggie Dash and Dawdle" at the Balloon Fiesta park, at which there is probably 1000 or more dogs and I was wandering around and all of a sudden I hear someone yell "Angel!". I turn around and someone at their booth was obviously happy to see her. I believe it was one of the owners, who I hadn't met the first time I had gone, but she obviously recognize my dog out of the tons of different dogs that were there. She was quite happy to see them and get a treat also. Every visit since, whether planned or I just show up for a daycare visit, they recognize her right away (and maybe me? :-) ) and she's very happy to go there. I did not have this experience with another place in town I tried. When I pick her up, she's happy, excited and obviously very excited - that is until I try and get her in the car to go home, she usually wants to go back and play more. However, once she gets home, she happily goes to bed and sleeps for quite some time. A full-day of daycare will guarantee a couple days of her being pretty tired. A week there and she sleeps for a few days with just food and bathroom breaks. That alone makes it worth it for sure. While this isn't the cheapest daycare or boarding facility in town, unless you add on another service like a bath or grooming, there aren't any additional charges. Other places quoted additional charges for things like being able to view the webcams, using your own food instead of the kennels, to feed them treats you provide, giving them required medicine, or to play in their daycare. At Camp Bow Wow all this is included at the base price. They open early and close late to accommodate work schedules.
