Brad is very professional and capable and fixed the issue immediately. The only reason he gets four stars is because he is very expensive.

I am very happy with my new backyard. The pavers and grass look great. Brad had some great ideas and tips for us as we planned our yard. The work performed was excellent.

I had a leaky sprinkler system, and checked Angie's List for specialists. Brad @ By The Yard Landscaping & Irrigation had an A+ rating and a AAA rating by the Better Business Bureau, so I decided to go with him after speaking with him on the phone, and describing the problem. Now, I'm used to companies hiring contractors, so I was shocked that Brad himself appeared to do the work! He was on time, professional, good-natured, and a good communicator. He located the shut-off valve (after some digging) and then gave me several options. I went with the more flexible option, and within 10 minutes he had capped off the system and we were done. The best part is that it cost signficantly less than what he quoted me, which is great because covid has not been kind to my family financially. Most contractors will stick to the quote, or usually more! For the first time, I didn't feel ripped off by someone doing work. Anyway, Brad was awesome and I recommend him 100%

First day he showed up on time and said, "No problem. I can get it started right now." He quoted a price of $175.00. A couple of hours later, after tearing everything up, he said, "It's going to cost $300.00 because one of the parts was really expensive." A couple of hours later, he said, "It's going to cost $600.00 and I can't finish it today. It's a much bigger job that I thought." He asked for a $250 deposit. (Bait and switch?!) The next day he showed up and finished the job. The total came to $650.00 and he asked for a tip. Knowing that he did work hard and did a lot of digging, we gave him a $50.00 tip. I would have felt much better about the entire situation if he had just started out telling us that it would cost $700.00.

Went well. Needed to reroute under a sidewalk and reconnect to the dead end of the system then re hook at the other end. Then check out the whole system. He knows his stuff. Sent him to my neighbor for some more work. .

We were very pleased with the great work that By The Yard did with our yard. The work and the customer service was excellent and we were very pleased with the cost. We would definitely hire By The Yard again for future jobs. We highly recommend them.

These guys are great. The are hardworking, polite, and honest. They actually do what they say they're going to do. They figured out how to make our existing irrigation system work - all others that bid the job wanted to add another manifold for about twice the cost. I highly recommend this group.

Excellent. Efficient and exactly what I asked for. They devised a much simpler and more effective watering system for my little flower garden than others recommended. They performed the task at a very reasonable cost

I recommend By the Yard very highly. We had our entire back yard landscaped by one of their crews. The workers and supervisors were incredibly professional and punctual, the work was done very quickly, and every detail was attended to. They leveled the backyard, which included removing vegetation and the old patio, so that rainwater didn't run towards our house anymore. Then they placed a beautiful new patio and sod, with drippers and sprinklers (including a smart sprinkler controller). Finally, they build a wall with raised flower beds and xeriscaped between the wall and sidewalk. Our family is extremely happy with the result, and we plan to hire them again in the future.

Promised to come look at problem. If he did, I've never heard from him again.

Brad set up an appointment to bid the job and was here as scheduled. We agreed on the job and he put us on his calendar. He said the job would take 3 days. They arrived the scheduled day and he and his crew got after it and it was accomplished beautifully in 3 days. We would use him again! Excellent!

Brad and the team were awesome! They were prompt and efficient. Leaks were resolved. More importantly, new valves and a new box were installed. Work was completed quickly, cleanly, and cost efficiently.

Fast and done right. Took a slop job from another company and fixed the system. We will not use anyone else from now on.

Brad arrived on time. He listened to what I needed done and then did it! (no surprises). He was very professional and explained what he did in terms that I could understand. I would definitely use him for future repairs and would highly recommend.

Horrible experience - suffice it to say, we were NOT happy with the work. I started to spell out the whole experience here, but - it was a very long, painful and very unprofessional experience. I've worked with several different wonderful small businesses and independent craftsman over the past 20 years, and we've never had a negative experience like this. I'm sure the company has their own view of how this played out, but - I would NOT recommend.

I had Brad landscape the main planter area in our front yard and create a new stone planter for our back yard. He listened to my vision for these areas and offered useful suggestions. Brad and his crew arrived on the appointed day well prepared. The front project included removing existing plantings,grading the area, and installing irrigation lines. Weed barrier was put in place and nearly a dozen new plantings were installed according to a pre-arranged plan. A thick layer of gravel was placed around the plantings and the irrigation was checked out. The back yard stone planter was installed by an experienced stone mason with high quality interlocking stones and a flat top cap. All work was done with care by experienced and friendly workers. All areas were cleaned up after the work was completed. Brad gladly accommodated several changes as the project progressed. I would be happy to work with Brad again in any future landscaping projects.

They were flexible with timing of the work, responsive to provide a quote, courteous, and quickly performed work. Three workers with lead guy. Decent price and done in a few hours - trustworthy and quality work!
