Aj does quality work for a fair price

I started out very good A.J. the owner came to the project and walked through with confidence and quickly worked up a quote. I had other work going on so I asked about waiting until the work was complete to install the windows. A. J. then stated he had done installs on million dollar homes and never had a problem. I said ok, when will the windows be ready he said in two weeks. I then gave the deposit on the window as he requested. 3 weeks later I called to ask when and he said NO you said you didn't want to install, I said ok well lets go ahead and get them ordered and on your schedule. He then said he was over booked and didn't know when he would be able to get to them. He said to call the next week. I did and he said maybe toward the end of the week, call later. I called on Thursday morning and he got a bit angry saying he wouldn't be able to get to them until later, I said ok how about Monday morning, he yelled Monday? I am going to the west side and won't be back for 2 to 3 weeks. I said ok when? He then got off the phone called me back and said he would be on site the next morning, Friday. Good we will get them done get him paid and on his way. He has been very hard to reach and always has an excuse for delays and if you are insistent he will become angry. He did the install, one window was reduced in size he framed it in and left if with wafer board. I asked about it and he pointed to the quote, I only quoted build up I didn't add stucco! What kind of contractor does something like that? Anyway I said ok I will get it taken care of because I just wanted him to finish and leave before there were more problems. As they were wrapping up and cleaning up I noticed one of the windows had the spray foam used to seal the window had popped through the sealant. I pointed it out and he said ok, let if finish expanding then he would come back. A few days maybe even a week later I asked him to come finish he said ok I'm not far I will be there in a couple hours. I said ok I will leave the building open. After 5 or 6 hours I locked up and left. Then I realized I hadn't seen him on the project so I called, he said we just left there and you locked up so we couldn't do the inside. I was polite and so when could I meet him there, He Started yelling at me cussing at me calling me names and just being a total unprofessional representative. My advise is to AVOID THIS COMPANY AND THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS. I would never use him again and his prices were not any better than other more reputable companies. Do yourself a favor call someone else this guy is the worst.

They are very difficult to get a hold of. They were very prompt coming out the first time. Nathan was very talkative and friendly and gave us a quote of 2118.00. That same day we deposited 118.00 as down payment. They kept changing the date they were coming out to do the measurements. They change there date three time, with in a week to come out. When they did the measurements my husband had to write down the measurements. We wanted to add ventilation for the new window in the bedroom. AJ seemed nice and professional. We were told they would give us the additional price. A week went by and Nathan said it would be an addition 500.00. I requested a written estimate. I never received one, so we went down to the office on July 6 to get the estimate. We told them we were considering not doing the new window. They told us the cost would 2300.00 for both windows. I was told to call back when we were ready for the work to be done. We called in yesterday and the receptionist answered and said there was a mix-up on our file. She said she would call back, she didn't call back. I called late afternoon yesterday and no answer, call today and no answer. I told them that I wanted the work done on July 23, but I am now concerned about whether or not they are going to do a professional job. I think they are unprofessional in offering estimates and I think there prices are a to high. I called this morning at 8:00 and there was no answer. They finally came and did my windows. They did a such a great job on the kitchen window that I bought both of them burgers. They charged me an extra $300.00 because they had to add additional wiring and outlets. They never gave me any receipts for the additional materials and there was also an additional $100.00 for taxes. They do not give detailed receipts. They put a sign advertising their work and left it after they were done with out telling me. It was difficult to get them here and it ended up being $2700.00 instead of the $2300.00 they quoted me.

Builders direct was able to install the brand new window. They were professional, accommodating, and reasonable. I was very happy with there work on the window. A year later they contacted me to see if I needed more work completed. I explained to them that I might have some new windows installed in my sunroom. AJ the owner came over and gave me an estimate. I could not afford the work at the time, but I also asked about some repairs on a pocket door. AJ referred the pocket door repairs to a friend that is a handyman. The handyman was rude, obnoxious, and dishonest. He also ruined my business dealings with Business Direct due to his lies.
