Budget Transmission Masters

When I needed my clutch replaced, I got estimates from nine places, including The Auto Clinic, since they have had the reputation for so many years of being the "go-to" place for transmissions. It was obvious from the start that Budget Transmission Masters was the most customer oriented. Everyone wanted around $950, except Galles, who wanted $1650, and that didn't even include plate resurfacing! Budget wanted $850. Then, once I got there, they made a point of asking me if I was a AAA member, so they could give me an additional discount! Most places gave a 90 day warranty on labor and 1 year on parts. Several gave 2 years on parts. Budget offered 3 years parts and labor. When they had the transmission out, they made a point of calling me to tell me my main seal was cracked. They replaced it for $3.50, as compared to the $200 it would have cost me to do it later once it started to leak. I have a medical condition that makes it very difficult to schedule things. Budget bent over backwards to work with me and meet my needs. They are very fast. They told me that they try to get all jobs done within 24 hours, and mine was no exception, in spite of all the obstacles I threw in their path. I've been driving with the clutch for about a year now, and have had absolutely no problems. It still feels like it did the day I got the car back from them. The lowest price, the longest warranty, and by far the best customer service. Why would anyone go anywhere but Budget Transmission Masters?

Dennis and everyone at the shop was extremely friendly, they went over and above when we found a possible problem with the vehicle, replaced the dipstick with an OEM part, made sure that I was informed every step of the way during the process, and even made sure that I was not stranded while they troubleshooted the issue. These guys are top notch, and they went over and above in every aspect of my contact with them. I will be bringing all of my vehicles and recommending all of my family and friends to go there.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and patient. I shop is clean and the waiting area comfortable. I shopped around and Budget Transmissions gave me the best quote on all of the services preformed. I was in and out in no time. I trust these guys have integrity. They do quality work at an affordable price. It was a pleasure doing business with them. I'll be back.

The price was really good. The employees were nice and they had me in and out. I would definitely recommend people to take their vehicles there.

Had the work done in september, 2014, and told them I didn't intend to use the vehicle until summer 2015, taking it on a vacation of 6000 miles pulling a light trailer.  They said to bring it in for a checkup before leaving.  I drove it for a short time before taking it in, and it would spontaneously change gears between 3rd and 4th at 35 mph. I took it in and told them that, and the guy immediately took it for a drive and agreed with me.  I live 60 miles away, and had a friend waiting to take me home if necessary, and the owner Bob said he would call me in 10 minutes and let me know what the problem was.  My friend and I went out to lunch, and and hour later still no call, so I called them, only to be told that the guy looking at it was out to lunch and would be back in 20 minutes.  I asked that he call me when he returned from lunch, and they said ok.  Another hour later, and still no call, so my friend took me back to the shop.  Talked to Bob (the owner) again, and he said the guy still needed to look at it, but he didn't think it was the lock-up converter, but it was something else that may need replacement and he'd let me know what it was and give me an estimate for the work.  I mentioned that there was a 3 year warranty they gave me with the rebuild, and he said it was something (I don't remember what) that had nothing to do with the transmission, and wasn't covered by the warranty, but if I had my own mechanic, I could get him to replace it instead of them, Since I had a friend waiting to take me home and come and get me again to pick it up if I had to leave it, I opted to take my vehicle and leave.  I told Bob at that time that his customer service sucked (re:unreturned phone calls when I had someone else waiting on me), and that I would have gladly have the extra work done there if they had simply called me when they said they would, and since they didn't (twice), that I would just take my vehicle and have the work done elsewhere because of his lousy customer service.  He (Bob) then proceeded to follow me out the door saying that the guy looking at it was pulled from another job (which I hadn't asked him to do), and continued to try to get me to stay, as I was walking away saying several times "thank you" over my shoulder.  I again made the remark that their customer service sucked, as they already had my money, and it didn't seem they were really interested in my personal satisfaction. I did not leave in a huff, kept saying thank you over my shoulder, while being pursued out the door by the owner.  They probably think I was mad at them (which I'm not), but I did expect better customer service.  Other than not calling me when they said they would (twice), I have no issue with their work (I hope).  Bob, your lousy customer service cost you a bad review.

They did a good job.  There estimate was lower and they were able to tell me the things I know about the transmission because I'm knowledgeable about those things.    They described the work that they were going to do and also they identify that the related parts that I knew it was bad and they replaced it and didn't charged me any additional labour.  They have the transmission rebuild and then installed.  There is nothing left that they could have done it better.

Now they're telling me they think the transmission needs rebuilt, again for around $900.  The problem is the same, so they misdiagnosed it.  The leak they're trying to tell me is blow back from a minor oil leak.  However my oil level never goes down and when transmission fluid is added, gets worse.  I no longer have any faith in them.  Other than warranty work on the clutch, I will not use them again.

Drove the car, checked it out, and said all appeared to be well.  No charge!

I am impressed with the customer service and their professionalism. From what I seen, I think they are the best around!

Excellent customer service and they promptly let me know that it looked like the transmission was starting to probably go out but just to keep an eye on it since we weren't experiencing any shifting problems yet. I appreciate that they didn't try to sell a transmission rebuild and just suggested watching it and performing regular service to try to keep it going for as long as possible. Great honesty. The only reason for the B in price was because they were a bit, but not much, more expensive than the cheapest but I felt the price was well worth the honesty and customer service. Will definitely take all my vehicles there for any future service needs. Thank you guys.

I made an appointment for 3PM, they were prompt, my car was ready when promised by 4:30PM.
I will will this firm again and give references to my friends.

They wwere exceelent...My daughter took her car in... they were courteous and helpful. ordered the trasnsmission...it came within four days... they installled it in one day. they road tested it with her and showed her how to check her fluids...she took it on a trip to Colorado and it performed flawlessly...
