Adan does not stand by his word, he told us when we hired them if we have any problems to call them I called him with a cover problem he was very unprofessional and said they don’t warranty or repair them anymore and hung up on me, don’t believe his lies. I am sorry we did business with Bluewater Pools!

After a large tree fell in my pool and cut up the inground liner they came out and gave an estimate two thousand lower than other companies. The liner came in early and my pool was back in opperation within 2 weeks. The last liner I brought from them lasted 17 years and was still in great shape. I would never shy away from an inground liner pool and will call Bluewater for all my pool needs. They are wery professional and give prompt service.

DO NOT USE BLUEWTATER POOLS! I Paid $63,284 for 16x30 inground pool and spa. The Pool/Spa was installed in winter. Construction went fast, but when they went to fill pool first time the problems started. Improper check valves caused Spa to spill into pool streaking new plaster. Spa would not hold water, so plaster cured with no water in it all winter. I had to authorize final payment from Lyons Financial at 120 days to fund final or loan goes back through underwriting. Bluewater Salesman was great until final payment was made, then he had nothing to do with us. Bluewater said they could not perform pool-start up or finish pool and fix issues due to weather, so they promised to return in spring to finish pool install, fix issues plus perform startup. Starting in late March they refused to respond to request to complete pool install and startup. It took almost a month, repeated calls, repeated trips to their offices, and finally letters to Lyon Financial to get a response. It never got any better. They installed spa therapy jets in wrong locations and had to jack-hammer new plaster to move jets to proper location. When they re-plastered, the replacement plaster job was garbage. They had to acid wash the entire pool due to the streaking when they first introduced water into pool. They entire plaster job looks like an old pool. Bluewater kept telling me the Spa was supposed drain below the steps each time I turn off pumps. That was B.S. There were no check-valves installed. It took four attempts to stop the spa draining. The In-floor cleaning system still does not work properly as cleaner heads were not installed as per approved plans and there are dead spots. Eventually, they finally started ignoring calls again, and at this point I know the promised warranty is worthless.

They were AWESOME!!! Julio Jr and Julio Sr were amazing and so helpful. They were thousands lower than all the others in Albuquerque. I can't say enough about this company. If you have a pool, and need an HONEST company, Bluewater Pools is who you need to hire!!!

Our experience with Bluewater Pools depended on who was actually on site supervising the job. This is a long-standing family-owned business that had a very good reputation for over 20 years, among the best in the area. Unfortunately the quality of the work now varies according to who is on site on the day the work was being done.
 My rating would be A if the original owner had been 100% in charge, but drops to D because of  the many corrections and fixes that needed to be done due to inadequate supervision.
The latest problem is that the wires in the pool cover box that they installed have entangled in the rotor that turns the pool cover to the point where the wire was nearly cut causing a potentially dangerous short circuit and live wire situation. I had repeatedly asked whether those wires were supposed to be lying loosely on the motor and was assured that that was normal.
In addition the pool covers do not have an automatic shut off mechanism and are constantly falling off their track, which results in a $150 service call in each time.
When we first built the pool they said they would also service it with a contract but now after 1 year they say they no longer offer that contract and we have had one problem after another, minor and major, requiring several calls to get someone to come over and help.  We have lost confidence in their work and are considering filing a complaint with the BBB.

Julio and the team showed up on time and ready to work.  Immediately they identified a problem with my plumbing and repaired it in 15 minutes or less.  Julio spent considerable time assessing what was working and what needed adjusting and then spent at least 30 minutes providing me with a much needed education on the different aspects of the systems and how to get the best out of my filter systems. 
The filtering and pressure have not been this good in at least 5 years and thanks to Julio and Bluewater, my pool is functioning the way I have wanted it for the past several years.

Bluewater designed and installed a beautiful swimming pool including decking, landscaping and equipment.  They gave us a fair and reasonable bid with a detailed time line and completed the job on time and with in budget. The team was professional and much care was given to our existing landscape. They also did an excellent job of educating us on the operation of the equipment and maintenance of the pool.  This is a family owned business with family members involved in all aspects of the installation. We have a beautiful pool and I highly recommend Bluewater for pool installations and service

My most recent experience has been in the closing of my pool for the season.  Blue Water also identified a newly forming tear in my pool cover and immediately fixed it as well and the "usual" closing tasks.  I'm thankful that Blue Water is just a phone call away when I need them and especially when I'm in "pool crisis"!!  I gladly recommend them.

It went exceptionally well. They delivered as promised, no surprises just the way I like to do business.

From the moment that I first contacted Bluewater Pools I couldn't have been more pleased. Bluewater did an excellent job re-tiling our pool and also installing a new pump and automatic cover. I selected Bluewater over their competition based on four criteria. Affordability, professionalism, quality of work and timeliness in performing the work. For all four criteria I give them a “A” for their performance. They were the most affordable of three other pool companies that I surveyed in the area. Each and every one of the team members at Bluewater with whom I worked with were all very professional and I enjoyed speaking with them and letting them work on our pool. As for the quality of their work we are all very pleased with the tile job and the new cover. They both look great. The new pump is great as well and very powerful. One of the guys even gave me some tips on how to keep the pool clean during the winter. Adam and Julio helped us select our tile and they were able to order and get it in within just a couple of days. Bluewater also was able to do all of the work within a few days time which was important. Bluewater did a great job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who asks. I am small business owner and I tend to look for and use other small businesses who take pride in their work and I can say for a fact that Bluewater does. Both Adam and Julio came by everyday to oversee the progress and quality of the work being performed which indicated to me that they are serious about the quality of their work. We are so pleased with the work performed that we will have Bluewater back in the Spring to redo our cool deck. Thanks Bluewater.

First, Bluewater got a "Stop Work Order" from the Sandoval County inspector when it was discovered by the inspector that Bluewater was not following the plans it had submitted to the county regarding the coping around the pool and the inspector made them tear out the existing work they'd done in order to do it properly. This put back construction about 10 days. Bluewater owner actually REMOVED the "Stop Work Order" so I wouldn't see it, but I'd already found it with the plans on-site (as required by law) and made a copy of it. So basically, Cabrera tried to hide the SWO from me. Too, I'd inserted in my contract w/ Bluewater that the pool was to be done by a certain date or I could deduct $2,000 from the cost of the pool. When the pool wasn't done by the contract date, I GAVE THEM A BREAK and didn't hold Bluewater to the $2,000 deduction, as I was simply so estatic to finally have my pool done. However, the Pentair Clean & Clear filter started giving me problems right away. The filter runs, but it doesn't clean the water. I believe it's due to a design flaw in the system for I read on the 'net that other owners of this particular type of pool filters have the same issues as I'm having with it. Then, when I called Bluewater to winterize the pool in the autumn, they charged me $300, even though I'd given them a break with the $2,000!!! Oh, and I find out for my $23,000 pool, I got a $400 filtration system that doesn't work and my pool is PEA green now thanks to these incompentent people. When Bluewater installed the filter they sang it's praises and told me that whenever I needed a new filter to just call them and they'd have it. Well, I called them this spring ('10) and guess what? They don't have any in stock! Which leads me to wonder if they truly even HAD any experince with this filter system? So I called them today and they sent somebody out to check the system, but if it doesn't work for me what's the point? I've also read on the internet that other people have complaints with the Penair Clean & Clear systems and are not happy with them for the same reason I am - the filter cartridges break down and just don't filter the water. So I've given Bluewater an opportunity to replace the filtration system with a new one, but I don't expect a positive response. Lastly, the pool was $23,000 and the cement around the pool (400 sq. ft) was another $4,000 for a total of $27,000.

When the guy showed up he said he was there to "winterize" my pool. I explained he was there to clean it. When he saw my pool he said "we don't clean above ground pools but I will do it since I came all the way out here" (This is after I had to come get him because he drove to the wrong house). A little over an hour later, he said he was finished and that I would have to finish cleaning it myself as he had gotten me started. He then said the work he had done was $100 and that I would have to pay $50 because he had to come to Los Lunas. The girl on the phone never mentioned the fee! I paid and sent him on his way. My pool had some sand in the bottom and needed to be flushed a few times. Basically, I paid $150 to have sand moved around my pool and have someone tell me to clean it myself. They should have told me about the $50 fee when I called and should have finished the work for me or done nothing at all. They also should have map-quested my house. Completely unprofessional service!

THIS COMPANY IS VERY COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL, AND POLITE. THEY HAVE QUALITY AND GUARANTEED WORK. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME FOR THEIR APPOINTMENTS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE TO ANYONE THAT WANTS A POOL OR SPA.

THIS IS A NICE COMPANY TO HIRE. THEY LET US KNOW WHEN WE SHOULD EXPECT THEM. THEY ARE ON TIME AND PLEASANT. THEY ARE HARDWORKING AND DO NOT WASTE TIME. THEY ARE ABLE TO ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS.
